I May Not Rest in Peace
By Suzanne Lahaie
My life on the other side
is supposed to be peaceful
I thought for a moment I could
May I remind you of how much I suffered
Oh excuse me, I’m just the cat Kensington
Who Cares?
Don’t you think I’ve had enough
Thank you for lingering my pain
I guess you humans have no soul
But I did: It’s a spiritual thing
That’s one thing my murderers couldn’t mutilate
Why don’t you just spit on my furry face and say I’m worthless
You already have
And planned it so
Someone take my away and let me die somewhere else
Again, at the Film Fest, I have no peace
