Can you introduce yourself for those not familiar with Sapthuran?
"I am Patrick Hall, sole member of Sapthuran: Blac Metal from the Cincinnati, OH area...USA."
The band started out as Enthralled and later chaned its name to Sapthuran, what's the reason for this?
"My sound basically took a one hundred and eighty degree turn when I began recording the Sapthuran material. The vocals changed significantly and I began using a real drum set instead of a cheap program. All in all, I felt that the Sapthuran material was far superior to the Enthralled material...and quite different in sound. Therefore, it seemed most fitting to rename it."
For the album '...In Hatred' you worked with Armando of Wraith Productions, the cd sounds great by the way, but will you be working with him for the coming album?
"As of right now I do not have any further releases planned for Wraith Productions. He has a very busy schedule and a full roster for his label right now... and I was simply recording too quickly to work with him at the time. I have releases due out through Basilisk Prductions, God is Myth Records and Battle Kommand Records...however, I would like to say that I am very pleased with the way the "...In Hatred' album turned out. Armando & Wraith did a great job with that and he has my thanks and full support."
Also '...In Hatred' was limited to 1000 copies, did they all sell?
"No, ther e are still copies available."
I noticed that most of the songs are about Nature, where is this taken from?
"I have always felt that Nature themes are the best medium to channel hateful, minimal and primative music."
Sapthuran plays Misanthropic Black Metal, will this ever change?
"I have a general hatred for people as a whole...and value certain individuals...(which is certainly not an original mindset in Black Metal) Yes, it's a very cliche way to describe the music...but it is accurate. I'm not trying to be original....yet my music still acheives a certain amount of originality through its subtleties. Sapthuran is not hatred directed towards anything or anyone specific (Christians, other races,etc.)simply primative hatred, anger and negative energy channeled through Black Metal music."
Being the sole and founding member of Sapthuran what do you plan to accomplish with Sapthuran?
"Read the last sentence of my answer to your previous question."
