Interview with Hatemonger of
Hails, how's it going?
"H: Pretty bad, got kinda drunk and thrashed at many shows over the weekend and my Schizze has turned black (either internal bleeding or my sould maybe trying to escape)."

Can you tell us about the band Plague?
"H: Plague have out 1 demo released by desastrious records in the US, limited to 200. The label is sold out of Copies of this demo, but will soon be releasing new Plague material as a part of a 4 way Split of US BM bands. Plague is playing raw and semi-hypnotic/harsh Black Metal and has no intentions of performing live."

Plague started out as a side project, but eventually became your main band. What was wrong with Everwinter, which eventually became deceased?
"H: Drummers primarily, which are impossible to find for non mainstream black metal. Everwinter's music was good I thought, but after a while of lack of drummers led to stuff being writeen with a drum machine, which is where the transition to Plague comes, the material written was just naturally different. We felt the need to present this under a new banner, because musically it is different as is the time frame it was recorded."

Can you clear this up. Everwinter and Plague are now the same band? How did this come to be?
"H: It always was basically, Founding members of Everwinter, Decimator and Doomhammer, are the founding members of Plague."

How has the 'Black Hearts of Misanthropy' demo been reviewed? Are any copies of this creation of yours still available?
"H: This album has sold all of its limited copies available through desastrious, though some independent labels do have copies available, Regimental records and others. This album had received pretty good reviews internationally from everywhere from California to Italy. It is a limited edition demo though, so as such the names spread and feedback we have thus far received is kinda limited as well, mostly positive."

Yaotzim appeared on the 'Black Hearts of Misanthorpy' demo, what was his role in the band at that time? Was he an acutal member of Plague or was he just a seesion musician?
"H: Yaotzin had contributed lyrics and performed the vocals on Black Hearts..., he was performing as a session member due to his temporary status in the Pennsylvania area."

I am aware that Plague is participating in a 4 way split, how has that been coming along for you? Can you gell us about this split?
"H: This will be a near 80 min CD quality release through Desastrious Records featuring Plague, Thy Vast Despair, who is a good friend of mine and had actually designed the very twisted logo's for Plague and both Everwinter alike, Angelcide, which is the solo band of new Grafvolluth guitarist, and the Mysterious West Coast band Inconu. This spilt will be titled 'Four Paths To Hell', and the title simply is a statement of where all bands, I feel is safe to say, whish to see all mankind suffering in. Plague will be contributing 6 tracks."

Demonlord (owner of Desastrious) will be appearing on this 4 way split, what will be his role in Plague? Will he be a full member of just a session musician for this album?
"H: Demonlord will be perfoming the vocals for all the songs, I myself (Hatemonger) had writeen the lyrics for these songs. This is as of now, only for the one album upcoming as mementarily no new Plague material is in the works, but the future is always chaotic and uncertain..."

Are you currently in any side projects or conducion any other bands at this moment or is Plague your main focus at this time?
"H: I am playing bass now in a Blackened Thrash band titled Invasive Command (www.Invasivecommand.cjb.net) which features myself and the Guitarist/Vocalist of Heathen PABM band Decieverion on vocals and guitars, and a maniac lead guitarist known as Bone-Collector. This project is started recently as of early '06 and is recording its first demo now, to be titled 'Hell in a Handbasket'. This is a black thrash in style of Destroyer 666, Atomizer, and many Old-school influences such as Hellhammer and Venom, Bathory, and all the other legends who made all we know and have today possible in the evil underground."

Is Plauged signed with Desastrious Records? Are any other releases such as full lengths coming out soon?
"H: Plague has no signed contract deal but chooses to release through this label because we have much faith in our hateful ally. His page itself (www.desastrious.com) says it all itself, 'desastrious records supports extreme and hateful music', and that is indeed what we play."

Well that about wraps this interview. I would like to thank Hatemonger for taking time in doing this interview. The last words are yours.

"H: Thanks to Sinister Zine for the support and interview, as for my final words to all, remember- All your dreams are hopeless and Hope is just a Dream..."
