"I am Tormentor and this interview is being done on behalf of the mighty Orcustus, which were started some years ago now. Orcustus, which is a black metal-band , old school style. We've released a demo, ehih is now sold out. It was released on Southern Lord as well. We're signing on Southern Lord Recs now."
So how have you been, what have the members of Orcustus been up to lately?
"Trying to compose some songs for a full-length. Hopefully we'll have something ready in a not too distant future."
Orcustus features well known musicians from the black metal scene, how was the line up for this band chosen? Why was it that these people where chosen?
'Orcustus was started by Taipan. The members more or less came to the band because it was genuine black metal, not too often seen these days."
"Orcustus is a band, not a project. We don't have any plans about playing live. We believe that orcustus is best suited for vinyls / cd."
Now for your demos, exactly how many demos were made and autographed? I tried to get a hold of one but I got there to late.
"We released 1000 demo cd's. I guess we signed about 50 of them. Most of them ended up in Italy I believe."
It's been two years since the demo came out, is an EP or a full-length album in the works?
"We're working on a cd/lp now. We've sigend for 2 full-length releases with Southerns Lord. We'll also probably release a split 7" ep on S.L as well."
Have shirts been printed? If so where cn one find these?
"Shirts have been printed by they're all sold out. We made some for the demo release. Guess we'll pring new soon."
I'll be waiting for new Orcustus releases. Well that abour wraps this interview but before you go are there any last words you would like to say?
