Interview with Nocturnal Overlord
Hails, how's it going?
Extremely busy. Lots of things going on at this time."

Can you introduce yourself?
"I thought the editor usually make the introductions for interviews?"

Can you tell us about your music? Lyrically it's not your typical Black Metal lyrics; what themes do you explore in Nibiru?
"The musick of Nibiru is very epic, strong, and brings back The Remembrance of Things Past, and The Remembrance of Things to Come.It will take you on a never-ending journey through the passage of time. The concept of Nibiru deals with the 12th planet, the war between the gods, ancient mythology/history, creationism, slavery, death, shamanism, the occult, the astral realm, etc, ect. As for the lyricks, there are not lyricks as of yet...just pictures and thoughts."

For those unfamiliar with Nibiru, musically and ideologically how does it differ from you other bands/projects?
"Nibiru is more of a project than a band. There is no boundaries or borders. Nibiru is the ultimate connection between the new and old world. Sort of like a conductor or energy that leads from one place to another."

nibiru started in '96 why was the demo brought out untill 2004?
"The project started in '95-'96 as a synth project. It was jus something I did as a hobby. After few years of evolution, the project turned to something much larger and greater than ever imagined. I have lots of recordings from Nibiru throughout the ages. For the demo I decided it was time to let Nibiru return. I used a few older recordings that I thought sounded good, but not as magnificent as the upcoming full lengths. I figured these were just 'demos' for the upcoming releases. So I put some material together and released a physical 'Demo 2004' just to get the Earth prepared for the return."

It is stated in your website that "upcoming debut and 2nd full length cds...which will in fact be an entire concept series based on The Necromicon's Magan Text...and a Remembrance of things Past." Can you tell us about these upcoming releases?
"The first full length will be called 'The Remembrance of Things Past' and will be out on Kthulu Productions in 2006. This is basically the first chapter in the concept series I have been working on dealing with the Magan Text and the stories of ancient Sumeria. This is definitely an excellent piece of history."

I was looking into Nibiru (the 12th planet) and found it interesting. What do you recommend for further insight on Nibiru?
"The Necromicon deals a lot with Nibiru/Marduk and the war between Marduk and Tiamat. Most of ancient history is filled with similar legends of Gods, aliens, demons and wars. Especially interesting are the old civilizations like the Sumerians, Mayans, Toltecs, Aztecs, Anasazi, Hopi, Zuni, etc. You just have to look past the boundaries that society, religion and government have put you in to see where you really are. For books I would recommend starting with 'The 12th Planet' and the rest of the Earth Chronicle series by Zecharia Sitchin. It's a good place to start and of course only part of the big picture."

Well that about wraps this interivew, the last words are yours.
"The official Nibiru web page, www.NibiruX.com has just been launched. Be sure to check it for up to date news, merchandise and more info about the Nibiru project...Perhaps we will see you again on the 12th planet. Until then..."

I would like to thank Nocturnal Overlord of Nibiru for taking time in doing this interview.
