Can you tell us a bit about Breizh Occult?
"Breizh Occult is a dark visage to traditional occult metal without compromise. The songs are raw and the war spirit to the compositions were created for propaganda the voices to old Celtic gods."
Back in 2005 you were working on a split with 'The Silent Fall,' what made you change your mind about this split?
"The split with 'Silent Fall' (band of crust metal) is lost because the band is R.I.P., but the stuff for the split was used with Blackcrowned (South Africa black metal band) in original pressing.'Spectrum Propaganda,' the name of this split ws realised in a transition period for my band. 'Desir' and 'Funebration' were played by E.Angelus (old blast drummer) and 'L'Oeil du Cyclone' was played by Clit is Wood (new killer drummer), always problem to line-up.....arghhh dawned..."
"The split with Kvellen and Kerifern is an auto production realised by my band. For Breizh Occult, it's to show another visage with 2 killer brutal compositions at live studio session."
The band was frequently changing its line-up. Does Breizh Occult have a steady line-up now, who are the current members?
"After seven years of service to UG metal, the horde has a steady line-up. Nastrond (first guitar), Seratoth (second guitar), Clit is Wood (drums), Amduscias (bass) and me L.S.M (voice and jiiaop's writing)."
Up to now Breizh Occult has only released demos and splits, all by which are very limited. Is Breizh Is Breizh Occult releasing a full length album anytime soon witha greater distribution?
"In 2008, Breizh Occult prepares a new album with the best songs from the old demos, in personal studio. The last demo 'La Contemplation du Chaos' was distributed by Occultum Productions, it's possible to take this lable for the release of the new album. But this question is not a priority, recording this dark album for a funerary environment and playing in concerts is the priority."
In my opinion France is one of the places spewing out very good Black Metal bands. Do any of the members of Breizh Occult part take in any other BM bands?
"I have the same opinion that you, the French black metal bands: Darvulia, Antaeus, Eternal Majesty, Belenos, Vlad Tepes, Blut aus Nord.....are cult bands who have created a real French UG. Seratoth plays in Gotholocaust and Amduscias plays in Cebren Khal."
What drives the band to produce the music it records?
"The antichristian and occult convictions are simply the ideal ideology. THe title 'Burn and Die' resume these remarks."
What is the process you go through to write/compose a song? Do the members each write on their own and then share with the rest or is it all done by one person?
"For the composition to all titles, Nastrond is the lead for realising the insturmental music, after the arrangement to have the best power in the stuff were realise with the experience to every members. I realise the text and the artwork for propaganda, the hatred on this world.
