Can you tell us about Behest, its music and your role in the band?
"Behest fraternity was summoned in the form ov idea in late MMVI. I formed it as a tool to spread one vision and one message only. Behest's deviation is my own, its Hate is my own. I am not planning to drop these vektors as they are me, my path to Perdition. A void ov my own, if you will."
Behest "can be conisdered on hold," is stated on the official Behest website. Was the disbanding of the line up due to personal problems, because musically its sounds great?
"I was left with no other decision but to disband the existing Behest line-up. After we rekorded 'His Apotheosis' this September, it seemed that everything fell into stagnation and I could not let that happen, even to the people I was working with at the time. However, our first live appearance was scheduled for the first ov December on NEFEST, here in Novi Sad. Line-up wise, our relation within the band hasn't changed a bit and I go sick and tired ov going through the same thing over and over again, so this tension kulminated with Behest being on-hold."
Sometimes finding the right members can be difficult, do you see Behest continuing as a one man band, or is that not for Behest?
"Behest will not continue as a one man band. I was searching for individuals who would like to kontribute forthcoming Behest abomination. Some ov them refused, some ov them stepped in. I am not going to reveal their names yet, our next release will speak for them as well."
'His Apotheosis' is the first demo released by the band. Can you tell us a bit about the demo? Satanic Propaganda Records will re-release it in the near future?
"His Apotheosis' konsists ov four black metal psalms. First track was kreated in early pre-Behest phase so you could say this demo was my way to put an end to it, since it waited for so long to be rekorded in the name ov some past times. As for the other songs, I can say that each ov them has it's signifikance and personal agenda. Hopefully, SPR will release a TAPE version ov the demo, should be out till the end ov January, I guess."
How has the demo been received by the people? I am aware that the demo was self released and the band is out of them. How many copies were printed?
"I was about 120 kopies released. We did a fine job, so to say, spreading it here and there, so many kopies went over seas. I am quite satisfied with reception and reaktion from the people I'm in kontakt with. Even now I receive mail from people interested in getting a kopy but unfortunately I don't have resources to reprint kovers with same quality as they had initially."
Are you currently participating in other bands?
"Aktually yes, about a month ago I joined Plamen Iskona, so the khaotik formation is komplete and we're finally able to spread live plague with full force upon the unsuspekting masses. We're about to do some gigs and rekord a decent demo next spring, most probably. As for Neman, I don't have a clue what's going on at the moment. We started work on full-length in August, I managed to rekord my lines and it was up to the guys to rekord the guitars so we could do the vokal parts."
What can we expect from Behest in the future? With Behest on hold will you only focus on finding members or will the time also be used to write more material for upcoming releases?
"As I said, I do have some individuals in plan for Behest's sekond opus and greater part ov material is already done, so we will start with rekordings in February, I think. As for the nature ov our next release I will not say much, just that it will be more komplex and mature, so to say. However, no other words from my side are necessary as it will speak for itself if all goes well."
