Interview with
Hello, how's it going?
"Like Hell!"

Akerbeltz, you've been in the black metal scene for quite some time, after all this time what keeps Akerbeltz inspired and writing new material?
"After so many years my inspiration seems not to stop though to get bigger, as I record new songs I get the ideas for doing greater and more wicked music; my inspiration comes straight from Hell and I have a mission, the first part of it is all concluded and now is the beginning of two more parts shorter but as nasty as the first one..."

Does the inspiration ever come to a halt when working with several bands?
"When I play in different bands I satisfy other soughts of needs I have, this makes my experience increase severaly and so I got more facilities to translate the message of the Master into black magik music; as a sorcerer I have to keep learning to get greater power!"

Both Lady Lilith and Akerbeltz participate in several bands together, Akerbeltz being the most known to me, how do you decide on what material to use for a certain band?
"Akerbeltz is a bloddy metal machine that can never stop! When I get my axe and start playing, my fingers move under the spell of Satan, then I know that that piece has to be in a recording of Akerbeltz; for the other bands I'm more under the control of the instrument and i transefer the kind of energy I think is needed for each different project or band."

I personally find Akerbeltz flawless and am eagerly waiting for a nwe full length album, is there a new album in the works? What's new in Akerbeltz?
"I'm already recording the new album of Akerbeltz, in fact some months ago I released two songs for a 4 band split Lp through Oniric records as an advance of what "Infernucoerreca" will be; these songs will not appear in the record but they are a sign of what awaits to the people that follow the mark of the cloven hoof.
How do you go about the music writing process for Akerbeltz? I've  heard (listening to Tabellae Defixionum currently) guitar solos here and there, I like that you incorporate them into the music, something seldomly done in Black Metal).
"When i go into the rehearsing room I normaly know when it's time for the beast to be unleashed, when I'm in this mood I get my axe and start playing, empting my mind until I reach a state near to katharsis and then They start to come out as if of devils from Hell they were, then I know this will be a piece for Akerbeltz...About the guitar solos I think they are great as they give another dimension to the music making it even more chaotic and malevolous!"

Has Akerbeltz ever encountered any problems that might have ended the band?
"Never! As I started the band I knew I had a mission and I will never stop until the mission is done!"
Although Beheaded Lam has been defunct for sometime, how does Beheaded Lamb and Harridan differ from Akerbeltz? I ask for the reason that I've been looking for albums from both of those bands.
"Beheaded Lamb is the band of Alastor; Lilith and I played with honor in this band and did the best we could until he went to live to Finland, both of us hope the best for our soul brother and would be proud to hear some new recordings of Beheaded Lamb with some Finish members that played in the files we occupied in the past...Harridan is the personal project of Lilith, as in Beheaded Lamb I did my best to make it the most dark band ever existed in this country, but of course it's her way of understanding Black Metal and that's why it doesn't sound as Akerbeltz."

Well that's it for the interview I would like to Thank Akerbeltz for taking the time to participate with Sinister Webzine. The last words are yours.
"Stay wicked and never deny from the powers of sorcery!!!"
