"Me, Myself, and I"
It is as if I have been split in two
and at the center are layer
upon layer of beings. And the two halves appear as separate
people, as if they were never together at all. Yet I am still all
one.
What does this mean? Am I crazy? No.
The revealing of selves
is (for me) a natural unfolding of my
soul. These many layers have always been there and now I
can see more of them. I feel I am glimpsing the pattern
which constructs all of life -- the double helix of the persona -
- the blooming petals of all humanity. Layer upon layer,
folded again and again, this pattern is unwinding itself just
enough to let me perceive it. It is not an apparition to be
feared or destroyed. It is a vision of higher truth to be
pondered and loved.
The world of humans is interwoven, one upon the other in a
complex web that defines many layers of awareness.
Individual persons, cities, countries, the earth -- these are all
self-aware real entities that act, feel, and interact like you and
me on some level. Just as the inner layers of my mind can
be seen and heard, so these other layers made of many
persons can be seen and heard as distinct creatures with
goals, dreams, fears. Creatures that need love above all else.
Just like you and me.
