One of the best things about the Isle of Mull is the choice visitors have between spending their time quietly relaxing or to take advantage of the many things to see and do. These include wildlife tours, sea-eagle spotting, whale and dolphin spotting trips, hillwalking (for the more nature-loving visitor), as well as visiting castles, going to the theatre, travelling the island and island-hopping.

For those interested in the cultural history of the island, castle visits are ideal.
They are a great day out for families. Duart Castle is an ancient fort, which has been fully restored and is open to the public.
For those who really want to see the wildside of Mull, there are
opportunities to take boat trips - for sea angling, sightseeing or
whale and dolphin spotting. Other activities for water babies include sub-aqua diving -
there are a number of intriguing shipwrecks to be explored around the coastline of Mull - and sailing.
The Whale and Dolphin Trust is based in Tobermory. It has an office and display area
on the main street which is continuously manned by experts and volunteers.
Surveys and population studies are carried out from this base utilising local charter and fishing boats.
Many local charter boats offer specialised whale watching trips throughout the summer.
