Midi sequencer doesn't record any sound. Instead, it records instructions to be reproduced by your sound module, with the same parameters you gave them when recording. So, the quality of your sound card will flow directly into the quality of the music you will listen to. Detail: midi sequencer doesn't generate the sounds of voices.
When recording a music to a tape the most you can change it is cutting/pasting/ deleting. However, a midi sequencer allow you to change any thing you want after recording. You can change the piano solo to sax, guitar or any other instrument; change the beat; convert horns to string section. You can add and modify dinamics as you wish. |
