Light Rain    by Carlos Rull

November 19, 1991

Light rain--
comforting,
at night,
falling, ever
so lightly,
on the roof.

Lying in bed,
under the covers.
A blanket warm...
...thinking--
staring up
at the ceiling,
--it shimmers
from the
light-reflected
puddles
outside.

Hearing---
the soft patter...
of rain, against
the window.

The warmth,
from the blanket---
quite comforting,
on this cold,
rainy night...

It is late---
yet, calm
and peaceful,
as I lay awake,
thinking of life...

of the warmth...
of the rain...
