I woke up around 1:15pm Sunday afternoon, totally rested from our triple-header yesterday... what an ordeal, but we made it! Getting An Extra Hour's Sleep! And this was the weekend of the time change, so we all got an extra hour sleep! I set the clock back from 1:30pm to 12:30pm, yes! Let's Watch A Video, 'Soon As I Wake Up! I checked my e-mail box for messages, then headed downstairs for lunch. My wife had just put on a video called 'Suicide Kings'. This was her second time seeing this video which she'd rented the day before. She highly recommended it and so I plopped my self down on the sofa and had lunch and watched a video. Excellent movie... I highly recommend it. I saw 'The Usual Suspects' and loved that movie. I thought 'Suicide Kings' was similar in that you are guessing who did it and don't know until the final scene. Plus, Christopher Walken is one of my favorite actors. Twin Palms In Newport Beach, CA The Twin Palms in Newport Beach is an excellent venue: great acoustics, excellent ambience, a great Sunday swing night, a great crowd and lots of swing dancers. The swing competition that was held during our second break was GREAT!!! I am always impressed with really great dancers, showing off their best stuff... very entertaining, and the first place couple a won $700.00 cash prize. Of course, the contestants were all dance instructors that I recognized from other Swing Venues. This Swing Revival is not showing any let up, and it definitely seemed like it was going strong last night at Twin Palms!!! Carlos Rull
