FAQ

Q: The games won't launch. There's only a red X in the window.
A: 1)Make sure you have the latest Java Runtime Environment. If the problem still occurs, keep in mind that these applets have only been tested with Internet Explorer 6.0 on a Windows XP PC. If you are not on a computer, but on an Internet Surfing device (PSP, Wii, Palm Pilot, Cellphone) your browser may not support Java.
Q: What browser should I use to play your games?
A: Internet Explorer works sufficiently, however clicking sometimes does not register. I recommend Mozilla Firefox.
Q: Your games are awesome! When can we expect more?
A: Since I'm not making money with these, nor am I a professional programmer, games will come out whenever I feel like it or when I need to test a new feature. If you have an idea, feel free to Contact me.
Q: Your games are awesome! What are they made with?
A:I use Java (Applet) with BlueJ and the latest JDK. I also used to make games with Turing and on the TI-83 calculator during math class.
Q: Your games are awesome! Are there more?
A:I've made games in the past using Turing and non-applet Java. Those, unfortunately cannot be played online. Due to size constraints of GeoCities, I cannot offer them for download, but you can request a copy by Contacting me.
Q: This site sucks! Who do I complain to?
A: I do not appreciate pointless criticism. If you have constructive critism, feel free to mail it.
Q: This site is so bland! How come?
A: There are tons of people on the Internet that think they know HTML and attemp to display that. These efforts lead to tons of oddly colored text piling on top of irrelevant images with a song in the background that loads for 20 minutes. I only have 15MB of space on geocities. I have neither the motive or the resources to devote to this meaningless task. This website might be plain, but it is functional.
Q: I'm an HTML designer/Programmer/student/beta tester and I was wondering if you could pay me to design your site/pay me to make games for you/teach me to program/pay me to test games for you.
A: As this site does not make money, I can't pay anyone to do anything. If you are a student, I'm not the best person to turn to. Try an online tutorial or someone on your area.
Q: Why did you spend all this time on free online games?
A: Necessity is the mother of creation. Two main reasons are involved. One is that I have to remember all the Java I know for a year until classes start again, which I would be unable to do unless I was actively using it. Second, is that I wanted to pick up a few new tricks before classes started, one of which was MouseListener. That, unfortunately did not work in application Java. This site is essentially the result of my education. Also, I was bored and my friends wanted to see my games.
Q: Your downloadable programs won't run!
A:If it's one of the Turing games, they will only work on Windows, but no special software is required. Just run the .exe file. If it's one of the Java programs, open up the DOS prompt, use "cd" to change directories to where the file was extracted and type in "java [filename]" where filename is the name of the program without the extension. If the program came with a .bat (batch) file, double-click on it to start the program. In any case, you need the JRE (Java Runtime Environment), preferrably the latest version. If you are using a Mac, you should have some kind of Java executable program somewhere. In all cases, you will most likely require Admin privileges in order to run these programs.
Q: My question was not answered!
A: Feel free to contact me to ask your question.
