I first heard these poems read 4 July 2002 at the Independence Day Ceremony held  at the National Guard Armory in Marysville Kansas.  I was so touched by them that they brought tears to this Marine's eyes, as well as everyone else who was present. They were written by Vietnam Veterans and portray real life experiences.

I knew when I heard them they should be shared.  And  so they  have been entrusted into my  care.  It was my intention to give them a place of honor,  as  I  owe the men who wrote them a  place of honor.  I hope  that  I  have  not  failed  in  my  mission.

Please do not copy them in any way or use any part of them on a  website. You may link to  the introduction page
only, because they are placed  in a specific order.
