The Black and Gold Ball

The Cougars would like to invite all players, their families, and all former
Cougar football players and alumni to our first annual "Black and Gold
Ball". The event will be somewhat formal, with fine dining, and
dancing to the live music of "Doctor Rock". we hope that this
event will be a way to have a great time, raise money for CV Football, and
especially, to reunite with our wonderful alumni. Please come and join Coach
Veeder, the players, and all those who love Capo Football.
Invitations have been mailed (to those for whom we have addresses). If you
did not receive your invitation, a ticket order form, which you can print

Players and Parents,
July 28, 2000 is the First Annual Black and Gold Ball.
On this evening we are beginning the first step on a new journey. We
desire to bring together all Cougar football players of all years, past
and present, along with their friends and families, in an annual event
that will be not only be a reunion, but also an acknowledgement of
the contribution of all Cougar Football players - past, present,
and future.
We are also striving to build an event that brings
together Capo High School with its community, because every High School
can be considered one of the center points of a community. We strive to
return support to our community as we ask it to support our program. So
far the response from our community has been overwhelming, as
businessmen and businesses have responded to our requests.
In the future our program may not only pay for itself,
thereby lessening the burden of players’ parents, but it may also
benefit others, in the forms of scholarships and aid.
All of this can be achieved while, at the same time,
providing an elegant evening that we can all look forward to being a
part of each year. We need your support to make this happen. So players,
parents, and cherished alumni, please come and join us in our new Cougar
tradition.
