THE LAWYERS

In Australia, the main reason we believe that our land titles cannot be dysfunctional is that we have paid a lawyer to carry out the conveyancing.
We believe implicitly that lawyers are maintaining a watchful eye on the land title system as they will be liable for damages if they don't get it right. There never has been any problems with the Australian land titles system, we all assert.
The main reason why there has never been any problem with the Australian land titles system is because lawyers simply refuse to see any problems which come up, this is a form of boycott. Any person who ever has problems with their land titles simply will not get any service. To some extent this is a form of mutual blindness but in other cases you would have to say that there is a form of collusion.
The following documents attempts to look at the assertions of lawyers that there is no problem with land registration and that the Torrens certificate of title presently available is a good basis for land titling.
