From the Slaughter of School Girls to the Strengthening of Peace
                   A Study in Self-Deception

The Heshemite Kingdom of Jordan sits entirely upon Jewish soil. It is a bandit state which
should not even exist, as it has not one whit of historical right to the land upon which it is
situated. It was created by British perfidy which unilaterally chopped off over 75% of mandated
"Palestine" which was supposed to have been turned into the Jewish State.
Jordanian troops desecrated the cemetery on the Mount of Olives, knocking down
tombstones and using them to pave latrines. They built the beautiful Intercontinental Hotel over
Jewish graves there. In Jerusalem they razed synagogues and desecrated Torah scrolls. Jews
were forbidden to approach the "Wailing Wall" when under Jordanian control.
In Hebron, the army of the Kingdom of Jordan razed the ancient Avraham Avinu
Synagogue and erected a public toilet at the site.
During the Six Day War of June 1967 the sweet little King Hussein was implored by the
Israeli government not to get involved in the war. Mistaking the request as evidence of weakness,
the King attacked us anyway. As a result he lost much of Judea and Samaria, including eastern
Jerusalem. He has never forgiven us for winning. His pride was so badly hurt that he refused
even to take back the lands he lost when Israel offered to give it to him . . . for peace.
The recent Gulf War found the same charming mini-monarch openly siding with Sadam
Hussein who lobbed scud missiles on Tel Aviv.
When Rabin made the "historic" peace agreement, which effectively set the precedent
whereby the Jewish State officially recognized the legitimacy of the thievery of Jewish land by our
enemies, Knesset Member, Binyamin Netanyahu, publicly congratulated him for this remarkable
achievement. Thus the disciple of Jabotinsky reversed policy and endorsed the recognition of the
end of Zionism. We should have understood then, the kind of leader this man was to become.
Part of the wonderful "peace" we established with the fantasyland kingdom, included the
further yielding of Jewish land. A small portion of land in the Jordan valley which was under our
jurisdiction was given over to Jordanian control. It was to become a veritable symbol of our new-
found peace and it was dubbed "peace island" (sort of like fantasy island).
After the horror of last Thursday, when seven little girls were mowed down in cold blood
by a Jordanian "hero" as they were reveling in our "peace", one would have assumed that the total
sham would, at long last, have become obvious to all. Not so. In the Jerusalem Post editorial of
that same day it was written, ". . .There can be no questioning the king's sincere desire for the
success of the peace process, and even his desire to deepen the warm peace with Israel." Why
not? How dare a news organ make such an absurd and outrageous statement. Any rational
observer has the right, nay obligation, to question the sincerity of one who has shown himself in
the past to be an enemy.
I daresay that, despite his charming demeanor and impeccable flowery English, the
adorable little king is still an enemy of the Jewish State. Yes, he certainly wants the "peace
process" to succeed, as do Arafat, Mubarak and even Assad. But to them a successful conclusion
to the process will include the end of the Jewish State as we know it. How any honest Jew
cannot realize this defies explanation.

While the Jewish nation is enmeshed in a futile, self-deceiving effort to end Arab attempts
to destroy us, we have learned to lie to ourselves in order to keep a ridiculous hope alive. Sadat
was the first Arab leader to use our desire for peace as a tool to eventually destroy us. Arafat
learned fast, and then the cute little king got into the act. All of these "partners" are actively
planning our destruction even as they mouth expressions of "peace". That our own government
allows this sham to continue, at our peril, is nothing short of criminal negligence . . . and probably
far worse.
I do not assume that the Jordanian soldier was acting on orders when he charged into the
crowd of school girls and started shooting. But I do not believe for a minute that he was just a
nut case. The "Jordanian" people do not seek to nurture a "warm peace" with Israel. They
would prefer a quick hot war to be done with us. This lone soldier was expressing what many of
his compatriots feel, that Israel is the enemy which must be destroyed.
The King himself was on a collision course with Netanyahu over the proposed building
project on Har Homa. He practically threatened to break relations with Israel over the issue. As
he joined with Arafat and other Arab states in condemning Jewish building in our own capital, a
real international crisis was developing. Then, in what must be termed as a stroke of political
genius, the little King succeeded in turning a heinous massacre into public relations coup of the
highest order. Rather than evoking natural hatred at the revelation of this clearly fraudulent
"peace" process with our enemy from Arab occupied eastern Israel, the murder has become a
vehicle to "prove" how much Jordan loves us! Jews love nothing more than the opportunity to
believe that our enemies love us. And once we are convinced we are loved, we dare not
disappoint our "lover" by building where he tells us we have no right to build.
So, with much ado and fanfare, the king of fantasyland, escorted by our own charming
prime minister, will be followed by Israel television and radio as he charms the country with his
pleasant words of comfort to the bereaved parents of the murdered children. One can only hope
that some of the bereaved families will have the strength and courage to refuse to participate in
this transparent attempt to exploit their suffering to justify the continuation of the suicidal process
of our own self destruction.

Thus saith the L-rd G-d; Woe unto the foolish prophets, that follow their own spirit, and
have seen nothing!
Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying "peace"; and there was no
peace. . .
. . . to slay the souls that should not die and to save the souls alive that should not live, by
your lying to my people that hear your lies.
                                                                          Ezekiel 13: 3, 10 and 19
