                    Making Peace with Terror

At the time I am writing this it has been reported that a major Hamas leader, who organized
the murder of at least five Israelis, was tracked down, cornered and killed by the IDF in an early
morning raid in Hebron. What was not reported was the fact that, for what may be termed
"humanitarian reasons," after our crack anti terrorist squad had surrounded the house where this
terrorist was hiding, they felt the need to "protect the innocent" and thus announced their presence
to those inside the house asking them to send out the women and children. Of course we all know
how "humanitarian" terrorists really are. As a result of this act of "humanity," one of our finest
young men was shot in the head.
At the very same time our army is hunting down Arab terrorists, even killing one of them,
our government continues to plan the release of thousands of others from prison. One day our
army hunts down terrorists, and the next day we pronounce our enemies as friends and give them
guns and Jewish land! It reminds me of the part of Alice in Wonderland where the gardener
planted the wrong color roses and decided to paint them red to fool the queen. Rabin is painting
terrorists from red to blue and white and calling them friends and allies, even as they continue to
murder us and plan to destroy the Jewish State. Rather than recognize the reality, our leaders
prefer to believe their own lies and are actually aiding our enemies in their quest to destroy Israel!
The people of Israel are being terrorized. Not just by Arab terror, but by a Jewish
government which is leading us to the brink of self-destruction. Nearly two decades ago the
United Nations passed a resolution declaring Zionism to be equal to racism. We now have an
Israeli government which has, in effect, ratified that resolution. When I turn on my television and
watch Rabin and Peres smiling at me as they shake hands, again and again, with the butcher of
Jewish women and children I am terrorized. When they freely give Jewish land to outright
terrorists and call it "peace" and promise to retreat from yet more of our homeland without even
specifying limitations, I am terrorized. And when I learn that my government has already planned
to give the Golan Heights to a madman whose hate for Israel knows no parallel, I am terrorized.
When I go to the polls and am told by my government that I cannot vote for Kach because they are
terrorists, then too, I am terrorized.
In Israel today we do not have a Jewish government. We do not have a democratic
government. We have a small clique of those who presume to run the country by virtue of their
unique knowledge of what is right for Israel in flagrant disregard for Torah, the will of the nation,
or even the most basic elements of common sense. It is the system of government which has
always existed in this newborn nation but only now has made its most dangerous potential
obvious. Even were another party successful in the next elections the danger would not at all be
even reduced. The mechanics work the same no matter who gets elected. And, from what I see,
all parties eligible to run care more about their positions of power than they do about the country.

Zionism built the modern state of Israel. In an expression of appreciation, our government
has been taking step after step to try to destroy the very reason why this country was created in the
first place. Does anyone remember the concept of creating a haven for the Jewish people where
they could always seek refuge? Today we have leaders who tell us that Arab terrorists, who
murder Jews, only do so because we have oppressed them in their homeland. Therefor, goes the
perverted logic, if we give them a homeland in part of our country, they will stop murdering us. So
we gave them the holy Jewish city of Jericho and the ancient port city of Gaza, where Shimshon
fought the Philistines, and we have invited them to build the new state of palestine on Jewish soil.
Even were we to agree to this sardonic charade, one would, minimally, expect in return that we
would see expressions of love and appreciation. One would certainly not expect terror to be part
and parcel of a peace process. While this country has completely changed its attitude toward our
enemies, can anyone honestly say that our enemies have changed their attitude toward us? On the
contrary. We can clearly see that not only have the terrorists failed to love us, they have continued
to murder us and openly declare their intention to destroy the entire State of Israel and take it over!
Okay. So we made a mistake. It was a good try. We gave "peace a chance" and
discovered that it didn't work. So where do we go from here? Any normal country would take
back Jericho and Gaza and destroy its enemies. Not so the Jewish State.
Instead of acting according to normal and Jewish imperatives, suddenly we become "Christian"
and turn the other cheek. Let us give our enemies a chance to slap us on the other side of our face.
Not only do we not halt the suicidal piece process, but we feel obligated to accelerate it! We must
show Arafat good faith and permit him elections in Judea and Samaria as well as pull out the IDF
from all Jewish cities which have large Arab population centers (and terrorist networks). Further
we should permit and aid the replacement of Jewish police stations and army bases with
"palestinian police." We are literally building an enemy state with its infrastructure and
independent army within the very heartland of our country as Rabin and Peres proudly hold up
their "peace prize" which they share with Arafat and smile the smile of self love. "Oh how
wonderful are we! We have made real peace and all the world loves us."
If it weren't so tragic, this whole masquerade would even be laughable. No doubt Arafat,
Mubarak, Hussein and Asad are all rolling on the floor with tears cascading down their murderous
cheeks. "We cannot as much as harm the Jews by attacking them with weapons," they screech,
"but merely by saying one word, peace', they will destroy themselves for us!"
And so the Jewish drunkard who prides himself on his military career (which included
shooting down Jews on the Altelena) tells us that we must give away the Golan Heights to our
most deadly enemies, despite the fact that just prior to his election he publicly warned that to go
down from the Golan would jeopardize the safety of Israel. We cannot even depend upon Rabin to
follow through on his very own policies. Just as he crawled under a rock with Arafat and signed
over parts of our homeland to him behind the backs of his people and without their approval, so
too he is already meeting with the Syrian devil in secret in an effort to further weaken the Jewish
state . . . for peace of course. And, after it is too late to turn back, then he will "consult" the
people.

How long will the People of Israel agree to live with terror? One doesn't live with terror . .
. he dies with it . . . or . . . he eradicates it. One can never make peace with terror. It is a
contradiction in terms. What has happened as a result of this self deception is that the great
"peace" makers have become the real terrorists.
So what do we do? We are entrenched in a self perpetuating political trap which calls itself
democracy while denying the people the most basic of democratic principles. We have so called
"leaders" who are leading the state to the brink of self destruction. We are terrorized physically as
our people are being murdered, and we are being terrorized psychologically by a government of
conspiracy with our would be destroyers.
The only weapon we have left is our faith in the Living G-d of Israel. And faith only has
meaning when put to the test.
When our father, Abraham, entered the fiery furnace rather than deny the G-d of Creation,
he did not know whether or not he would survive. He was prepared to give his life for his faith.
When David faced the giant, Goliath, he defended the honor of the Jewish G-d and the Jewish
army at risk to his very life. And, before G-d performed the miracle of parting the Red Sea,
Nachshon ben Aminidav first demonstrated his faith in G-d by plunging into the waters over his
head, risking his life to demonstrate his faith. There are other such examples of brave Jews who
risked their lives for their G-d and their people. And there were many times when they gave their
lives willingly for the same.
Today we face a challenge of Jewish faith. Who do we trust? Arafat, Asad, Mubarak,
Clinton? Or the G-d of Israel? That is the real question. And the only way we can answer is by
deeds. Do we flee from Jewish towns and cities? Do we accept treason by Jewish leaders? What
do we do?
On Tuesday, July 11, 1995, a group of proud American Jews is joining operation Chizuk
#3, sponsored by Yeshivat Kiryat Arba. As in former visits, this group will not "tour" Israel, rather
will visit key front line Jewish communities to physically demonstrate their support of the genuine
Zionist process. If you want to do something meaningful to strike back at this double barreled
Terror process, call Bruce Rudolph now 212-967-5300 ext.223 and take part with us. It will be
my pleasure to greet you in Hebron and have you add another voice to those who will not stand
idly by as Jewish pride is being challenged by Jewish misleaders.
