Just When You Thought we Hit Bottom...

I really don't want to rehash all of the insanity we have seen since we installed Arafat as King
of Palestine. I am tired of thinking about Jewish leaders in this country groveling before their
murderers. It is more than frustrating to watch, day after day, new depths of self humiliation which
defy the worst nightmares of any normal Jew: The voluntary surrender of holy Jewish soil to our worst
enemies in the futile hope that now they might learn to love us; the bestowing of honor and dignity
to a cold blooded low life murderer of Jews; the purposeful legitimization of a new nation whose very
existence nullifies the right of a Jewish State to exist; the freeing of terrorists from prison and the
imprisonment of Torah scholars for teaching Torah; and the accepting of continued murder of Jews
as the price we have to pay for peace.

Enough! Clearly we need no further example to bear witness to our state of national insanity
and self hatred. But there is more. When I watched Rabin shake hands with Arafat on the White
House lawn, I had no doubt that this traitor to the Jewish People was fully capable of shaking hands
with Hitler, were he still alive. Yesterday my assumption proved correct. I don't know why I continue
to watch the Israeli television news, I guess I must be a masochist at heart. I could not believe my
eyes when I watched Rabin formally welcome Helmut Kohl, the Chancellor of Germany to Israel. If
this wasn't bad enough he escorted the very symbol of Jewish degradation to a ceremony at Yad
Vashem where the Teuton expressed his shame for his nation in the German tongue! But wait, there
is yet more. The grande finale saw Kohl standing at attention on the Knesset lawn as the German flag
was raised and the Israeli Army band played "Deutschland Uber Alles" with great pride!!!!!

Doesn't anyone notice something wrong with this picture? Is there any remnant left of Jewish
memory, let alone pride and self respect? Have we all gone stark raving mad?

The reality has come full circle. It should now be perfectly clear to any honest observer. He
who chooses to make peace with his enemies, while ignoring the fact that his enemies are still his
enemies, is destined to become his own enemy. The Rabin government, but, to a lesser extent, even
the opposition parties, have, perhaps unwittingly, become the advocates of the enemies of the Jewish
people and full partners in the persecution of the Jewish People, the Torah, and the Land of Israel.

The madness is so complete, so irrational, so impossible, that there can only be one
explanation. We are in the middle of redemption in its time. Our salvation will not be found in new
elections. It will not be found in the Knesset, nor in the democratic process (even if we had one).

Our salvation will only come from the Creator of the Universe. But we must first to our part. We have
been waiting so long for Mashiach that we fail to notice that he has already arrived. He has been
standing in the threshold at least since 1948, waiting for us. Now we must do our part, however tiny
and helpless it may seem. The real power of redemption in now in our hands... the hands of every Jew
in the world who has eyes to see the reality of authentic Jewish redemption.

Our Rabbis tell us that we were redeemed from Egypt only after we descended to the forty-ninth level of degradation. Had we dropped any lower we could not have been redeemed. Recent
events in Israel have clearly illustrated our continued sinking to the uttermost depths of moral
depravity. While, undoubtedly, this is cause to make any normal Jew sick to his stomach, it is also
reason to believe that redemption must be right around the corner. The living G-d of Israel promised
our Father, Abraham, that He would redeem his children. We know from our sages that there is a level
under which we can no longer be redeemed. As we continue to sink to that level, therefore, the G-d
of Israel will have no choice but to redeem us. There can be no doubt that our complete redemption
is coming very, very soon
