                    Does Democracy Guarantee
Freedom of Insurrection Against the State?

Yaacov Turner, the Jerusalem Chief of Police, very bluntly stated on Israel
Television, that, despite all of the elaborate precautions taken by the police, terrorist attacks
by Arabs cannot be totally prevented. Indeed, the most recent attack upon two soldiers at a
bus stop just outside of Tel Aviv, by an Arab who possessed officially approved work
credentials, proves the accuracy of the Police Chief's remarks.
None the less, living in a democracy, to deport, transfer or in any way restrict the
Arab population in Israel has been deemed by many to be "racism". So we seem to have a
very difficult problem. If we don't remove the Arabs, we are inviting further acts of violence
and murder against Jews. If we do remove them, we will be viewed by some as racists. Does
one really need to ponder the relative disadvantages of one over the other?
The more stalwart and innovative of the so called "peace camp", have suggested
that the entire Jewish population of Israel be supplied with knife resistant vests, thus reducing
greatly the likelihood of fatalities from knifing attacks. This would also guarantee the Arab
population their democratic right to freedom of religious expression, which includes the
stabbing of Jews (a time-honored Moslem tradition). But the main drawback to this idea is the
same problem of racial discrimination. If the Jewish population is to be provided with special
protective equipment, then, of course we will have to do the same for the Arab population,
including that of Judea, Samaria and Gaza. Aside from the astronomical cost of such a
project, what affect would it have upon the ability of the police and army to control Arab
rioters who had such protection?
As for the "Territories for Peace" suggestion, even before any consideration has
been given to such a proposal, we already see attacks on Jews in Tel Aviv, Haifa, Hadera, Hod
HaSharon and Jerusalem. Can one be so naive as to assume that a "Palestinian State",
populated by back-stabbing Arab haters of Israel, will make these murderers of Jews love us?
In view of the incredible proliferation of evidence from pre state days up until this
very day, any impartial thinker must realize that, although some may call us racists, if we do
not rid ourselves of our Arab enemies within, we will eventually not be around to be called
anything.
