PROTECT YOURSELF FROM FINANCIAL TERRORISM

A Book Review by David Falkayn in American Mercury

One of the unhappy facts of financial life in a lawsuit-happy society such as the United States is the increasing danger of being sued. And if you should have the misfortune to wind up on the receiving end of some courtroom debacle, it could easily cost you your life savings. A brand-new book, The Offshore Entrepreneur, by Adam Starchild, discloses the techniques of protecting yourself, and goes beyond mere asset protection by also telling you how to make money offshore through investing, travel businesses, exporting, Swiss banking, tax havens & more.

Swiss annuities

Amongst its many chapters is an exploration of the little-known Swiss annuity.

Swiss annuities can even be used to shield assets from a bankruptcy proceeding. That is because the rights of an insured U.S. person subscribing to a Swiss annuity are deemed to be located at the domicile of the Swiss insurance company -- that is, Switzerland, not the United States.

Even if a U.S. court specifically orders the seizure of assets in a Swiss annuity -- or orders that they be included in, say, a bankruptcy settlement -- such an annuity will be protected under Swiss law.

A properly written Swiss annuity policy affords better protection than Swiss bank accounts -- or Swiss securities accounts. Swiss life insurance policies also make great estate-planning vehicles -- regardless of the risk of bankruptcy or asset seizure.

Because of the steady decline of the U.S. dollar, the low-interest Swiss annuity has earned the dollar equivalent of 17% annually over recent decades -- a startling return for a super-conservative investment. The annuities carry all of the same tax-deferral benefits that a U.S. annuity does, but don't have the sales charges or withdrawal penalties of American annuities.

Swiss annuities are fully legal for Americans to own, and unlike a foreign bank or brokerage account it does not have to be reported to the IRS on the reporting form for foreign accounts.

Tax havens

In its tax haven chapter, The Offshore Entrepreneur reveals, in amazing detail, the tricks and techniques used by multi-national corporations and the very rich, very sophisticated families to protect wealth, to dramatically reduce your public financial profile, and to greatly cut your taxes. Plus, your financial affairs would become totally private. No one could find out about any of your financial transactions unless you wanted them to. And probably the best part of this approach -- it's100% legal (when done properly).

Taxes are getting higher and higher -- and it's getting harder and harder to pay them. The tax haven chapter provides detailed information that introduces you to an exciting new world -- the world of offshore financial privacy, overseas bank accounts, foreign trusts, offshore corporations -- and more.

Make money offshore

The Offshore Entrepreneur is the only offshore book that shows you how to make the money, as well as how to keep it, offshore -- travel the world FREE or at little cost... become a "world citizen" without having millions in the bank, big financial backers, or even much starting cash at all.

Earn finder's fees using the contacts you already have, buy gold at wholesale prices, learn the advantages of acquiring a second citizenship and passport (without having to give up your American citizenship), and other tried and proven paths to offshore success.
