Formerly(before the 1st World War, the Armenians had more influence in social life than today. There were many Armenian statesmen, politicians, writers, music composers, doctors, city mayors etc. Today, their influence is much reduced, but it's possible to see many Armenians playing roles int the Turkish society. In universities, especially in the Medicine field, there are many Armenian professors. The manufacture industry today in Turkey, is held by Jews and the Armenians.
