This is so embarrassing, Rem thought. After a secret eye checkup (he didn't need Rom knowing his eyes were going bad!) he found out that he needed glasses for near-sightedness. Why?! It's not like he ever reads anything! On optometrist's orders, he goes and gets glasses.
"Pft, werewolves don't need glasses," Rem muttered as he tried on another pair. Through the lens, he saw a sight that scared him. At the next counter was that catboy's brother! When Rem ruined a whole shelf of books, 'an accident, it was an accident, I swear!', Aron almost gave him a heart attack from the glare he received alone. Could this day get any worse?!Maybe if he slipped out quietly, yes, he wouldn't be noticed. Quietly, like a ninja, Rem tried to get out of the store. Almost..there! A hand clasped down on his shoulder.
"Hey, aren't you that kid who trashed by bookstore?"Rem turned his head around, making a face of great horror. "I. Swear. It. Was. An. Accident!"
Aron's annoyed expression didn't change. "You looked quite purposeful when throwing the shelf down.""It wasn't my fault! It was all Rom's fault!" Aron just hmm'd. Rem took this as a sign to continue. "Rom is always getting all high-and-mighty and acting like I'm his bitch. I just getkind of blinded by rage, ya know?"
"Are you two brothers?" asked Aron."No, I justcan't let go of him."
Aron's cold expressions changed a little. But Rem couldn't tell how since he was too near for him to see. "I guess I can forgive you, it was only the kids section anyways." The older man pushed up his glasses. "By the way, those glasses don't look good on you."Site © to Becky B. Created August 7, 2008
