Characters: Michael and Mellie
Topic: Cartoons
Genre: Romance, whut lol

It has been five years since it all began. Mellie remembers everyday. Everyone seems to have changed, going in their own directions. She doesn't feel changed at all. It still seems like she is the shy ten year old that can't meet anyone's gaze. Heck, she still watches Saturday morning cartoons.

"-tching that?" a voice interrupted her daze.

"Huh?" Mellie looked up from the t.v. to see Michael's smiling face. She couldn't help but blush and look away. Beck was always so nice to Mellie. It always made her happy when Beck would turn her way and smile, paying attention to her. Beck had that way with people, making them feel as if it is just them that matters and nothing in the world can change that. When Kason and Beck combined back into Michael, Mellie was afraid that would be lost but it seems that Beck still shines threw the dark cloud that is Kason.

"I asked if you were watching that," he pointed to the television. "I didn't know you liked cartoons. You know, when I was a kid, that's all I did. I think I even tried making my own cartoon about a garbage can."

Mellie remembers Beck tried to do that.

"May I sit with you?" Michael asked. Mellie just nodded, she couldn't manage any words.

When commercials came halfway, Michael asked another question. "Whose you're favourite character?"

"Um..uh. Idon'tknow." She replied quietly, hugging a pillow closer to her. She wished her heart would stop beating so fast. It was going to explode!

"Oh come on." Michael nudged her a bit. "You must have a favourite, this is a marathon so you must watch it for a reason. I want to hear you talk at least five sentences."

He..wanted to? Nobody wants anything from her. "Well, I really like Jake. He is the fearless leader who does anything for his friends. But Jodie would be my favourite since she is always looking out for Jake. She cares for him and their friends and tries to show it how she can."

Michael smiled. Ah, surely he must hear her heart beat! "That was only four sentences, but I'll let you off the hook since you have such a lovely voice."

And the cartoon came back on.
