Characters: Landon and Tam
Topic: Pandas
Genre: Friendship

"You know, Tam, you remind me of a panda." Landon said as if it was the most casual thing to say to a person.

It had been a long day of band practice, or 'fucking around and getting nothing done' as Adrian put it, and only Tam and Landon remained to practice some acoustic songs Tam had wrote.

"Really?" Tam laughed nervously. He hoped this wasn't another way to tease him.

"Yeah," Landon hmm'ed. Tam heard him move in his chair a bit. "When I think of pandas, I think of nice and humble beings that are being poked and proded at. But they just take it, as long as everyone else is happy."

Tam didn't get it, but nodded all the same in what he hoped was the right direction.

"See what I mean! You didn't even get that, and you just agree to keep me happy."

That was a bit weird, almost like Landon read his mind. Maybe Tam was more like an open book then he thought he let on. "I guess you got me down pretty well, Landon."

"I guess there is the physical appearance too." Landon said as he moved up. He pulled some of Tam's white hair to make two makeshift pigtails. "See, and you even speak Chinese. I might as well sell you to the zoo right now, they wouldn't know the difference. And you are too panda-like to protest as long as I'm happy."

Tam laughed nervously again. He really didn't get Landon sometimes.
