BRATUKHIN OMEGA II

Diseño mejorado del Omega/2MG . Reductores, rueda libre, sistema de enfriamiento, etc, fueron rediseñados. Los tests de vuelo comenzaron en septiembre de 1944/otoño de 1945. Los progresos más importantes se lograron en la optimización de la caja de transmisión, resultando en un incremento de la fuerza de sustentación del rotor en 300 Kg y aumento por lo tanto del techo de servicio. A partir de 1945, el Omega II fue utilizado como entrenador y demostrado en el show aéreo de Tushino.

Re-engined Omega/2MG. Gearboxes, clutches, cooling system, etc were redesigned. Flight tests took place in September 1944 - fall 1945. Important progress was made in optimization of transmition ratios. This resulted in an increase of the rotor lifting force by 300kg and a substantial increase of ceiling. Since fall 1945, Omega-II was used for training purposes, and was once demonstrated at the Tushino airshow. Soon it was retired due to worn engines.
