Este tipo de helicóptero es una versión a mayor escala del B-2B y voló por primera vez en enero de 1964. Las comodidades consisten de dos asientos lado a lado adelante y atras un asiento para tres personas. Aparte de sus dimensiones mayores, se diferencia del B-2 por tener un pequeño estabilizador de incidencia variable. Podía se ajustado con esquies, ruedas o flotadores. Potenciado por un motor Lycoming de 305 HP, el modelo podía alcanzar los 90 nudos en crucero. Brantly inmediatamente comenzó la producción del modelo 305 pero este tenía un problema de resonancia en tierra y solo se alcanzaron a construir 45 ejemplares. |

The model 305 five seat light helicopter first flew in 1964. Similar in configuration to the Model B-2B, the model 305 is larger in all respects. Accommodations consists of two front seats side by side, with a rear bench seat for three persons. The Model 305 can be fitted with skid, wheel or float undercarriage. Powered by a 305hp Lycoming flat six piston engine, the Model 305 cruises at about 110 mph. Other performance figures include a maximum speed at sea level of 120 mph and maximum sea level rate of climb of 975 ft/min. Hynes Helicopter Inc hoped to put the 305 re designed H-5 into production in 1985. Brantly immediately commenced production but the Model 305 suffered from persistent ground resonance problems and they only built 45 examples. |
