ENSTROM 480

Enstrom voló el prototipo de prueba con un 280FX (modificado de un modelo a pistón) en diciembre de 1988. El primer vuelo del 480 con cabina ancha fue en octubre de 1989 y el helicóptero entró en producción en diciembre de 1991. El certificado inicial de la FAA fue recibido en junio de 1993 y en diciembre de 1994 la aprobación se extendió a las FAR 27 estandard. Este helicóptero es ofrecido también como un helicóptero de entrenamiento bajo la designación TH-28. Esta variante. La cual fue certificada en septiembre de 1992, presenta tres asientos contra impactos, un tanque contra impactos y un gran panel de instrumentos para entrenamiento para vuelos VFR/IFR

Enstrom flew a proof of concept 280FX (modified from piston-powered model) in December 1988. Maiden flight of 480 with wider cabin was in October 1989, and production helicopter followed in December 1991. Initial FAA certificate was received in June 1993 and in December 1994 the aproval was extended to FAR 27 standards.The turbine-engined Enstrom is also offered as a training helicopter under the designation TH-28. This variant, which was certified in September 1992, features three crashworthy seats, a crashworthy fuel system and large instrument panel for VFR/IFR training.
