The Royal Falcons is a perennial civilian formation aerobatics team .Formed in 1976 at the initiative of His Majesty king Hussien Bin Talal , it has an international reputation for precision,professionalism and spectacular performance ,since the beginning,the team has been in great demand and has appeared at air shows in the United States ,England,France,Belgium,Switzerland ,Italy,Austria ,the Netherlands ,Germany,Luxembourg and Indonesia.

The Royal Falcons presently consist of five Extra 300 aerobatics aircraft . the team's headquarters at Amman International Airport is a facility designed exclusively for its use. EXTRA 300 allows greater manoeuverability , enabling the pilot to successfully excute the most advanced manoeuvers .

The pilots of the ROYAL JORDANIAN FALCONS are selected on a competitive basis from among the cream of the ROYAL JORDANIAN AIR FORCE .Prior to commencing amandotory six-month aerobatics training course ,each falcon pilot is expected to have logged a minimum of 500 flying hours on combat aircraft . in addition he must hold a jordanian commercial pilot's license with instument and multi-engine certifications .
