The most used frequency for Mir to ground communication was 143.625 Mhz. Keep an eye on this freq also for ISS operation.

Some time ago the comonauts released into space a replica of the SPUTNIK satellite, its name being SPUTNIK 40,  it died on December 30th, 1997, because of overheating. On the background you can hear its beeping, recorded in November 1997.
