Race: The sacred, (the winged men).

 

Orientation: Evil, balanced between might and magic.

Worship: The Sacred, don't worship to any deity, they worship they king as unique existing deity, this King called SEMED, is one of the 14 renegade angels and archangels that founded this civilization

Unique Race Skills

Campaign Recruit

  • Basic: Allows the hero recruit each week few  Bersequers” and “Nomads” for his armies at double cost outside the castle, this units are not part of the weekly grow of the city or cities
  • Advanced: Allows the hero recruit each week several “Barbarians”, “Mercenaries ” and a few “Winged Champions” for his armies at double cost outside the castle, this units are not part of the weekly grow of the city or cities
  • Expert:  Allows the hero recruit each week several “Barbarians”, “Mercenaries”, “Winged Champions” and  a few “Pegasus” for his armies at normal cost outside the castle, this units are not part of the weekly grow of the city or cities

Recruiters:  Doubles the amount of creatures that could be recruit by the hero each week, but  this creatures create a cost on gold each week as salary. (Require advanced camping recruit)

Messiahs: Allow you to recruit rocs and Nerafins at double cost. (Require Expert camping recruit).

Fanaticism: Due to its fanatic beliefs there is no moral penalties for this race.

Evasion: The winged creatures have a small percentage of possibility to evade ranged attacks from the enemy.

Regeneration: During the combat the units on the army, regenerate some held point each turn.

 

Advantage: Very fast race based on winged units.

 

Disadvantage: No ranged unit on kingdom creatures

Description:

This race is result of the cross between barbaric men and the 14 renegade children of Elrath, their civilization this conformed by this new race of winged men and their barbarics human servants, they are a strange mix between barbarism and civilization. Their society is based on castes, which are the base and reason of their interactions. It doesn’t it matter who you are or how much do you know, what is important is your blood, your ascendance. The lowest caste is composed by pure humans, they are considered servants, their lack of angelic blood does them inferior, they are dedicated to the more humble works, and not receive any education, they are a little more than slaves. The following caste, the warrior caste, they are composed by the descendents of the 14 renegades, whose blood was mix with human several times, they take charge of works such as; low level warriors, guardians, blacksmiths, and general works that require some education. They are more similar to the humans than the rest of the castes. They are taller than normal humans and have one pair of wings. The third caste, the sacerdotal caste, is composed by the pure descendents of 13 of the 14 renegades, this caste has a special particularity, the women of the species are the ones that rule on of the caste, by its supposed superior purity, they perform the works on the temples, palaces and managements of the empire. Nevertheless also are trained as witches and some times they enter in battle. They have more angelic appearance with blond hair and blue eyes one pair of wings.  The ruler caste or, the sacred, direct children of Semed, the only surviving of the 14 after of the civil wars occurred during the creation of the empire. They rule over the empire with his father and have the more pure blood off all the castes, but his father made them stronger with his magic. They are different to the rest of his people. They have two pairs of wings and are gifted with magic and have a surrounding aura.

 

BRIEF HISTORY

The origins

 

221 YSD: The rebellion of the 14

After the creation of the falcon empire the children of ashan shared the land with the human, they lived together they battle together and share pins and glory’s, and, as a result of it they were worshipped by their beauty and their power, in some cases as Gods, there was so much adoration on the part of the settlers of the cities, who saw the Angels like their guardians and protectors, that some of the children of ashan began to Believe that they were the deities, and not just the representation of the fundamental dragon of the order. After all they were the ones that protected the towns and the people of the empire.  Among some of the strongest archangels and Angels, desires of power began to appear.  27 of these Angels and archangels guided by two of the oldest and wise archangels named Semed and Asbel rebelled against their master and against the empire. This rebellion was crushed easily, and just 14 of 27 Angels survived, and they were expulse of the falcon empire and from the grace of the dragon of the order, and they fled to the high mountains inhabited by barbaric humans.

230 YSD: The conquest of the barbarians

 

After to be expelled, the 14 fled to the high desert mountains to the south of the seven cities, these mountains were found inhabited by humans that lived in the barbarism its lands were too high and desert to be worth something for nobody, and they were maintained living according to traditions of hundreds of years ago. Arriving at these lands, the renegade, full of avarice and thirst of revenge, guided by semed, attacked to the tribes and they took the control, be coming their rulers. They divide the lands among the 14 and founding the 14 tribes

 

 

 

 

273 YSD: the birth of the first hybrid

 

As the rulers, the 14 began to enjoy the human pleasures, and soon also of their bad habits, they drank wine, they ate excessively, they envied, and finally they took human women as wives, and of such mixture children arose.  These children half human half angel possessed wings.  They were the first winged men and these they continued being reproduced.  After some centuries a new race had arisen.

 

689 YSD: The wars of the supremacy

 

The barbaric customs continued contaminating more and more the minds of Semed and the other angels and archangels filling them of thirst of power, avarice and lust. Soon fights arose between the 14, Asbel, since years ago realize the error in which he and its companions have fallen and no matter the efforts of him, the disputes become unsustainable. Any reason was good for the battle, skirmishes happened continuously but no battles of great scale. And during years thus was maintained

The other kingdoms saw with diversion and curiosity these barbaric wars and they were maintained unworried.

– “While they fight among them, there is noting to worry about.”

–“after all they are just barbarians.”

These kinds of things were mentioned constantly in the palaces and in courts.  But Semed, the most ambitious and intelligent of the 14 planned something.

He believed that his blood was superior and that is his right to rule over the other kingdoms, and to be become the unique god of this land.  But he was just the king of a tribe, if he wanted to reach his ambition, he need to control, all the barbarians.  A war it was begging.

He attack without clemency, tribe after tribe, destroying all, and eliminating any that opposed to him. The civil war extended for all the tribes, alliances were forged, they conspired treasons, and no more than death happened during the following years.

 

The modern ages

 

756 YSD: The end of the civil wars

 

After years of fight and death just one obstacle remain between Semed and his ambition to govern to all the tribes, Asbel, the one that, was its companion and brother. He had been maintained far from the fights, but wise of the depravity that Semed was able.  He and his people, march to confront an army very superior to theirs.  It was the last hope. If he won, his people at last would know the peace; if he lost the shadow of semed would extend through the lands.

The battle was terrible.  And in spite of the superiority of the army of Semed, Asbel seemed to be raised with the victory.  But the ambition of Semed was too strong.  Semed full of fury fly directly against Asbel and the two starts an epic battle that prolonged during hours.  Their chipped swords seemed not resist one more blow. But Semed In a certain blow crossed Asbel by the chest and without clemency cut their head off to show without place to doubts his superiority.  Wend the tribe of Asbel saw his leader fall, all hope was lost, and they surrender to Semed.

 

771 YSD: Foundation of the castes

 

Because of his sickly obsession with the superiority of its blood, Semed, now ruler of all the tribes, found the system of castes and under the same one he declare himself emperor, and thus the empire of the sky arose.  The empire grew and become stronger, more organized, and it was ready to follow his leader and emperor to the battle.  All happened according to the plan.

 

1000 YSD: Statement of War

 

Now with an empire supporting him, Semed, declare all rest of the Kingdoms of this world, what became the main belief of his own people dictating thus:

 

"We are the sacred, the children of the skies, our blood is divine, and because of it is our right to rule over all”

Level 1

 

Berseker:

They are barbaric humans that attack without control, fast and mortals to short distance, but disorganized, they attack the nearby enemy without importing their force.

Barbarian:

Fasted and stronger they are trained warriors, they follow the orders of their leader without hesitancy

Nomads:

Barbaric Humans riding a horse don’t use armor, but they are able to attack quickly with their scimitars.

Mercenaries

Humans riding a horse with light armor, attack quickly with its scimitars, cutting the heads off from their enemies.

Level 3

 

Winged warrior:

They belong to warrior caste of the Sacred. They are winged men with great agility, that attack with their spears so fast that the enemy don’t have time to react.

Winged Champion:

With better training and better weapons and armors are more resistant to the enemy attacks but they attack with the same intensity

Level 4

 

Pegasus:

These winged horses are considered by the sacred as its equals in purity therefore are a creation of the dragon of the light, they attack from the skies crushing the heads of their enemies with their hooves

 

Abilities: stunning

Divine Pegasus :

Divine: These horses hauled are you considered by the sacred as its equals in purity therefore are a creation of the dragon of the fast order, they attack since the skies crushing the heads of their enemies with their hooves

Wild wind (possibly I’ll change the name)

Level 5

 

Roc:

Trained by the barbarians these titanic birds are the symbol of the purity for the sacred. Besides a powerful ally in the battles

Tunderbird:

These  titanic birds, are able to invoke electric storms to hit his enemies

Level 6

 

Nerafin:

The pure descents of Semed. Strong and powerful in magic, are gifted beings of two wings, they are the fasted creature of this land, but they rarely use it because they attack with their magic from a sure distance.

Nerafin Guardian:

Level 7

 

Chimera:

These creatures live in the same mountains that the sacred, and during years were scourges of their populations. Until the barbarians partly domesticated them. These creatures are powerful in battle no matter the fact that they do not fly.  The attacks of their 3 respective heads (bull, lion, snake head tail) can be devastators

Chimera of fire:

The chimeras of fire have a four head of dragon, and use his dragon breath to attack

This chimera has wins. I’m proposing one unable to fly, to make it more balanced. and it have a snake tail

 

 

 

List of especial abilities

 

Berceker: The unit attacks by it self the closer enemy unit

Double Strike: Unit hit twice

Dire Hit: Small present of possibility to hit with double strong

Head Cuter charge: small percentage of kill one unit on the stack attacking from long distance.

Stunning: Small percentage of possibility of stunning a stack that is attacked by the Pegasus, the stack loose one turn.

Wilde wind: Attack with 75% of normal damage but blow all the units in two hexes in front of the Pegasus three hexes back avoiding to retaliate. (thanks to chesire_cat)

Divine: the Pegasus isn’t affected by curse spells

Magic Resistance: reduce the effectiveness of spells on the unit

Fortune: increase by one the fortune of all friendly units

Divine Inspiration: Retail magic attacks from enemy units

Savage: Some times, depending of hero’s level, this unit attacks without control the enemy stack closer to it. (Low level heroes more chance to lose control, hi level heroes very low chance).

Three Head Attack: the chimera attack with one of his three head randomly, each head have a small percentage off cause different effects, Lion head (men eater), Got head (stunning), Serpent tail (poison).

Four Head Attack: The chimera attack with one of his four head randomly, each head have a small percentage off cause different effects, Lion head (men eater), Got head (stunning), Serpent tail (poison), Dragon head (dragon breath)

 

City Buildings:

  • Dwellings

 

    1. Conclave : this is the place where all the barbarians thrives gather and the best point of recruit them.

    1. Plains : In the deserted mountains there is no much plains and the few of them are used to train the Pegasus for the battle.

Altar of Holy Blood : In this temple the priests of Semed use their magic  to bless their troops

Effects: all the sacred units get + 1 of held and +1 of attack. (Tanks to rldragon)

               

                Temple of fog : this building invocate a fog that surrounds the city and help on defend it

Effects: Any enemy heroes attacking this castle reduce their Attack by 2 and ally heroes defending the city get defense raised by 1
