San Vincente is the closest harbour next to the part of the cantabric montain called Picos de Europa. This was named by the navigators coming from america, since it was the first land of Europe visible from the see.

The Playa de Oyambre beach, camping and caravan park is situated in the natural park of Oyambre, one of the most beautiful parts of Cantabria. It lies equidistant between Comillas  and San Vicente de la Barquera (5 km.), two well known tourist and fishing villages, and only 24 Km. from Santillana del Mar.
