"Can God make a rock so heavy that even he could not lift it?"

Why are you asking this question? Does it do anything for you? Does it help in deciding your final destination? Does it do anything for you? No. So why are you asking it? There is no point to this question. It is asked by the people who will do anything to bring down Christians.

Let me start off by asking YOU a question. Even if God could make a rock so heavy that even He can't lift it, why would He? It makes no sense. He'd have one incredibly huge rock sitting in the middle of the universe doing nothing. It makes no sense to us why He would do it. Let me ask you this. Why would you use your life savings to buy a house if you are going to let it deteriorate? If you're going to make something, it has to be for a reason. It has to have a purpose. In this case, a huge rock in the middle of the universe makes no sense whatsoever. God is smarter than you think. God wouldn't make something that would make Himself look bad. But anyways, let's get down to the question.

You know, surprising as it may seem, God can't do a lot of things. He cannot sin, He can't lie, and He can't tolerate sin. And yes, God cannot make a rock so heavy that even He can't lift it. But why can't He make such an object? Well, I don't know. I'm not in the position to ask Him. See, asking Him to make a rock so big that even He can't lift it is called testing Him. In the Bible, it says that we should not test the Lord. By asking God this question, you are asking Him to show you how powerful He is. God doesn't have to show you His great power. God doesn't have to show you anything. Who are you compared to God? God is holy, almighty, and powerful. You, on the other hand, are sinful, weak, and miniscule. You are telling God, "God, if you're so powerful, then let's see You at work. If You can do it, then I'll believe." You are pushing God. But do you think God cares if you choose not to believe? I mean, of course He wants everybody to be saved, and He cares about all His creation, but if you don't want to listen, then He's not going to run after you and beg you to believe. You have chosen your destiny. Remember, God gave us freedom of choice. It's your choice to believe or not.

God doesn't have to show you anything so that you will believe. We believe by faith and not by sight. We're not going to know all the answers to all the questions that we have. If we do, then what's the point of calling God, God? We already know what's going to happen, so why do we need God? See, God made it that we aren't going to know everything. Some things He keeps to Himself. We just have to continue trusting in Him, because what God does is best. But for those of you who are stubborn, realize that God has already shown us many things. Look at the earth. See the beauty of a waterfall, the fury of a hurricane, and the wonders of the sea. Look at yourselves. Look at how amazing your body is. Our human body is truly a miracle. How so many different parts can function together in unity to keep you alive is a great wonder. If that isn't a good enough example of God's great power, then I don't know what is. Look at the planets and the stars. How about that for God's power? See, God has already shown us so much... we as humans are living proof! Why does He need to show you another sign to get you to believe? It's up to you whether you choose to doubt, or whether you choose to believe. I hope this page has made clear this otherwise confusing question.
