FINALS - Margaritaville & Chatham
Game 1 - The Reefers beat the undeated team. Chatham's win streak comes to an end at 11 games in the finals game 1 in Margaritaville. The hometown fans were raising a rucus right from puck drop which helped the Reefers win a close game.
Game 2 - The Reefers home fans go balistic. Kovalchuk comes out hard to start the game as the Reefers take Game 2 at home, as they look to be in the drivers seat so far this series.. Chatham needs to shake out the cobwebs and bring thier A game at home for games 3 & 4.
Game 3 - WOW what a tigh series this is ending up being. The Home ice advantage seems to mean somthing this series with Chatham taking game 3 at home in front of the bewildered faithfull. The fans showed they had thier teams back, and hopefully they can continue strong and win again at home game 4.
Game 4 - This series is shaping up to be a home series. Chatham's special teams showed up tonite as the scored 2PPG and 1 SHG. It all comes down to the best of 3 as the series heads back to Margaritaville for game 5. Chatham needs to find way to win in Reeferville of they could be in trouble.
Game 5 - Chatham breaks the winning at home streak with 3 3rd period goals to win the game 3-1. Chatham now has the chance to wrap up the finals at home in front of the home fans. The Reefers are in a must win situation and can not lose anymore games to the Wheels.
Game 6 - WOW what a series.. Margaritaville jostles up the lines a bit on the verge of elimination, and it worked.. 8 goals were scored in game 6, 5 on the PP.. This will be the 3rd time in the last 3 years that the finals have gone to a game 7. It all comes down to 1 game as the season's final game will be in Margaritaville.
Game 7 - Well the Reefers came out in front of the home crowd and dominated the game from puck drop, outshooting the Wheels 41-32, all while Cristobal Huet pitched the SO to win the game 2-0. The fans went crazy as many of the faithfull broke out into tears after the past 2 seasons losses in the Confrence finals. Conrats to Eric and his Margaritaville Coralreefers as they are Season 7 Champions.!!
