Both Edge and Satoshi Kojima have found challengers for Glory and the Gold - each other! Satoshi Kojima will defend his World Heavyweight championship and Edge will defend his Heavyweight championship in a championship versus championship match at the November 9 pay-per-view event. This challenge came to a head when NWA World, American and MAPW Tag Team champions TenKoji - Hiroyoshi Tenzan and World Heavyweight champion Satoshi Kojima - defeated Chris Benoit and Heavyweight champion Edge in a non-title tag team match. During the match, Tenzan and Benoit wrestled to the backstage area, leaving Kojima and Edge all alone in the ring. Kojima put Edge away with the Koji Cutter. After, Edge told Kojima that he had to prove to the crowd, the nation and the entire world that he could beat Kojima. Edge challenged Kojima to a title versus title match at Glory and the Gold! As Kojima accepted, commissioner Scott D'Amore said the event needed to be official - next week, just six days before Glory and the Gold, Edge and Satoshi Kojima will both sign a contract recognizing the fight!
After three weeks of anticipation, the Canadian fans finally found out who would be wrestling SoCal Pro champion "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels. Vampiro used the Nail in the Coffin on Test to win a triple threat contest also involving Christian to earn the shot. An irate Christian attacked Test, hitting an Unprettier after the match! "I'll see you at Glory and the Gold!" All of a sudden this mega-event is beginning to take shape!
In a rematch from the Destiny pay-per-view show, Sean Morley and "The Mecca" Shawn Stasiak went to a draw after repeated interference from both Chris Benoit and Chris Jericho. A two on two brawl has lead to a tag team match next week with Benoit and Morley teaming up to challenge Jericho and Stasiak ... "Showtime" Eric Young picked up the victory over "Showtime" Robby Royce, but it was Royce who got the last laugh. Early on in the match, "Hotshot" Johnny Devine interfered and attacked his own Canadian Violence partner, Eric Young! CXW promises there will be more on this next week!
