October 13, 2005
Toronto, Ontario
RICOH Coliseum

"Ladies and gentlemen, we are live on The Fight Network in Toronto, Ontario! I am Don "the Cyrus" Callis alongside the Canadian wrestling legend Bret "the Hitman" Hart! And this is the INAUGERAL episode of Canadian X Wrestling Adrenaline!"

"This crowd is rocking - what a show we have lined up. Arguably the best Cruiserweights in North America dominate the show tonight - the Canadian X Wrestling Cruiserweight title is on the line when the champion Petey Williams defends his title against Jack Evans!"

"And Jack Evans will have to be on his game tonight - Petey Williams is on a roll, there is no doubt about it. He won the eight man tournament to get the championship, but his first defense was against without a doubt the greatest Cruiserweight in the world - Jushin "Thunder" Liger! Williams is on a roll, folks! But what about the main event? It all started at the amazing Ground Breaking webcast for the Global Wrestling League, let's take a look!"

Following the contest, Canadian X Wrestling Heavyweight champion Edge came down to the ring. He hoists his championship over his shoulder very proudly and gets a very warm reception. He has a microphone as Misawa makes it to his feet. Corino is already out of the ring.

Edge: "Mitsuharu Misawa, without a doubt you are one of the greatest wrestlers in the WORLD! You are among the Chris Benoit's ... the Chris Jericho's ... the Satoshi Kojima's ... and so on, you are an elite wrestler. And if you ask these fans, I bet they'll say I'm on the brink of becoming that successful, but I need a major victory. I need a victory over an elite superstar ... I need a victory over Mitsuharu Misawa to become my own elite superstar! And just to let you know - Canadian X Wrestling debuts on The Fight Network this Thursday, and I don't have a match!"

The crowd roars in approval.

Mitsuharu Misawa: "May the best man win!"

Misawa holds his hand out to Edge, who shakes it, showing an unbelievable amount of respect!

"Hitman, tonight it is Edge defending his Canadian X Wrestling title against Royal Road's Mitsuharu Misawa!"

"It's a great match, but right now it is time for the first match on Adrenaline television history!"

CANADIAN X WRESTLING CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
JACK EVANS VERSUS PETEY WILLIAMS (c)

The two pace around the ring for a few seconds as the bell rings, but the two quickly go into a grapple mode. Williams put Evans in a hammerlock and pushed him front first into the turnbuckles. Evans knocked Williams backwards a few feet, before springing to the middle rope and hitting a flipping senton splash, knocking Williams down to the ground. Evans picked Williams up in a fireman's carry before hitting a flipping Samoan drop! Evans then went to the top rope, and as Williams made it to his feet, Evans jumped off and hit a flying skytwister face kick, knocking Williams to the mat! Evans calls for, and hits a Michinoku driver. Evans holds for the pin, but Williams kicks out at two. Evans picks Williams up and whips him into the ropes, but Petey bounces back and hits a spinning heel kick. Evans hits the mat, hard. This little rest gave Williams a good chance to plan his next steps, which was hitting a sitout wheelbarrow facebuster, sending the crowd into awe. Williams picked Evans up and hit the Canadian Destroyer for the win at 5:49. **¼

"An excellent match, and an excellent win for Petey Williams! That is his third defense for the Cruiserweight championship! We'll be right back as we take our first commercial break!"

.:Commercial:.

"We are back, live on The Fight Network, I'm Don Callis with Bret Hart for CXW Adrenaline ... The Hitman has some big news for those of you who did not happen to read the internet this week!"

"That's right, on Tuesday it was announced that Canadian X Wrestling would introduce a new commissioner to the promotion here tonight! I will be doing that ... right now!"

Bret Hart takes his headset off and walks up the ramp.

Bret Hart: "I have been given the opportunity to introduce to you the new Canadian X Wrestling commissioner."

A small "Hit-man!" chant breaks out.

Bret Hart: "No, it's not me. This is a man that made a name for himself down south in Windsor, Ontario. The new commissioner for Canadian X Wrestling ... Scott ... D'Amore!"

Scott D'Amore makes his way to the ring to a mixed reaction from the fans. Hart hands the microphone to D'Amore, who graciously accepts it. He smiles and looks out at the crowd.

Scott D'Amore: "Thank you fans. Thank you for making Canadian X Wrestling the number one wrestling promotion in the world! Bar none! That includes Royal Road Pro-Wrestling, and we will prove it TONIGHT when Edge retains his championship against Mitsuharu Misawa!"

That brings out a cheer from the crowd.

Scott D'Amore: "And I got three huge announcements to make. Next week, we do not have a main event for Adrenaline. Well now we do: Steve Corino is the #2 ranked wrestler in the world, and is CXW's number one contender to the NEW GWL World Heavyweight champion ... Satoshi Kojima. Steve Corino will challenge Satoshi Kojima for the World championship NEXT WEEK!"

This brings HUGE cheers from the crowd.

Scott D'Amore: "But I have only given you one announcement - I have two more. And that is the next Canadian X Wrestling pay-per-view! "Glory and the Gold" will take place on Wednesday, November 9, 2005 ... LIVE on pay-per-view! And we need some special spark to help sell the show. How about Christopher Daniels? He will defend the SoCal Pro championship against an opponent to be determined! We will announce his challenger on this program within the next couple of weeks! Thank you everybody - and enjoy the rest of the show!"

"This is huge news... we have to go to a commercial break, but when we return, "Showtime" Eric Young challenges "Tornado" Tony Kozina ..."

.:Commercial Break:.

"SHOWTIME" ERIC YOUNG VERSUS "TORNADO" TONY KOZINA

"Welcome back, we are back on Adrenaline on the Fight Network, and are here already with Eric Young and Tony Kozina already in the ring."

This had a similar start to the first match tonight - Eric Young picked Kozina up from behind and dropped him on his back - a somewhat modified German suplex before slamming down with a legdrop. He made a quick cover, but Kozina kicked out. Kozina quickly got up and threw himself into the ropes and came back, spinning around Young similar to the "619" before hitting a DDT. This put the crowd on their feet, but Kozina slowed the pace down with a headlock, obviously setting up for his top-rope tornado DDT. Young was able to battle back after a few moments and broke free, dropkicking Kozina down to the mat. Young picked Kozina up and hit a nice Death Valley driver! Eric Young went to the top rope, but a superstar came out and pushed him down, calling for the disqualification at 4:05. *

"Who the hell was that?"

"I don't know, but he ended this match very quickly - and Don, he is making a statement!"

The mystery wrestler picked Eric Young up and nailed a reverse Tiger Driver!

Mystery Man: "Incase you were wondering ... Incase you were wondering who I am, I am "THE ONLY SHOW WORTH WATCHING." I am the Canadian Icon, "Showtime" Robby Royce!"

The crowd stayed somewhat silent, giving the new superstar a mild reaction.

Robby Royce: "And listen you piece of trash. If you didn't hear me, I said I am the ONLY show worth watching. That means I am the ONLY "Showtime" here in Canadian X Wrestling. Unfortunately for you - the show's over!"

Royce stands Young up and goes to hit the Ki Krusher, but Petey Williams comes out to a good crowd reaction to scare Royce away!

"Robby Royce! What a way to debut for CXW. Did you hear him, Bret? He said he is the only "Showtime" in CXW!"

"I know Eric Young will not stay down from this, Young will come back, guaranteed, with a vengeance towards CXW's newest superstar. But folks, stay in your seats, Edge will defend his Heavyweight championship against Mitsuharu Misawa in just moments time, we'll be back!"

.:Commercial Break:.

Before we get to the main event, "Lionheart" Chris Jericho comes to the ring.

Chris Jericho: "What the hell is all of this ... this Mitsuharu Misawa crap? Am I the only one that noticed, I, Chris Jericho defeated Chris Benoit at Destiny? Am I the only one that noticed, I, Chris Jericho, beat the former number one contender? Does that not make me the new number one contender to Edge's Heavyweight championship? Well then! I'm glad you all agree with me, because I have some news for you. Tonight, Mitsuharu Misawa is not here. Edge is going to take on ..."

Jericho could never finish when Sean Morley's music hit, and Morley came to the stage to the delight of the fans.

Chris Jericho: "What the hell are you doing here, this is my time, not yours, jackass!"

Sean Morley: "I'm sorry to interrupt you, Jericho, but you've got to realize a few things here. You are not the wrestler you think you are. And in fact, you are not the number one contender you think you are. Because the last time I checked, the number one contender actually wrestles the champion. And you won't be doing that tonight, because Mitsuharu Misawa IS here. And you won't be doing that on November 9 either. I just got out of Scott D'Amore's office, and just to let you know, at Glory and the Gold, it's gonna be Chris Jericho ... versus ..... Sean Morley!"

The crowd gives a cheer out.

Chris Jericho: "Well listen here, assclown. I was planning on putting my quest for the championship on hold for a few weeks anyways, just so I could beat your ass! In fact, I'll do that right now!"

Jericho steps out of the ring and charges towards the stage. Morley doesn't back down, and the two hit each other with a few strikes before battling to the backstage area.

"WOW! Jericho and Morley is the first match signed for Glory and the Gold! Ladies and gentlemen, IT IS NEXT! Edge versus Mitsuharu Misawa for the Heavyweight championship! When we come back from our FINAL commercial break!"

.:Commercial Break:.

CANADIAN X WRESTLING HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
EDGE (c) VERSUS MITSUHARU MISAWA

As Don Callis and Bret Hart had made a point of in video form earlier, Mitsuharu Misawa was challenged by Edge just four days ago at Ground Breaking, the Global Wrestling League webcast. Misawa challenged before the two did a handshake in terms of respect, and we are here tonight. Misawa starts off striking Edge six times repeatedly, in the leg, with stiff kicks. Edge tries countering with a few right hands, but he can not, and his knee finally buckles, falling to the mat. Misawa kneels down and hits some stiff elbows to the face and forehead of Edge, ala mixed martial arts style. He stands up and waits for Edge to move. As Edge tries getting to his feet, now on his hands and knees, Misawa throws a huge kick right at the face of Edge, that could have easily broken his nose or jaw! The crowd lets out a shocking gasp, suprised at Misawa's agressiveness.

Misawa wastes no time and picks Edge up and throws him in an Irish whip. Edge comes flinging back and hits a flying forearm, knocking Misawa on his back! Edge, now very pissed at Misawa, began swinging wildly at Misawa! He gets off, and as Misawa is getting up, Edge boots him in the gut. Edge quickly whips Misawa into the turnbuckles, who hit it very hard. Misawa barely steps forward a few feet before being hit with a gutbuster. Edge lets out a huge "Yeah!" to the crowd and is very fired up at this point. He picks Misawa up and knees him in the gut, before bouncing off the ropes and hitting a swinging neckbreaker. Edge goes to the top rope, high off of adrenaline (no pun intended), and as Misawa made it to his feet, hits a missile dropkick! Edge covers, but Misawa kicks out at two.

Edge doesn't stop, he keeps going on the offense. He clubs the back of the neck of Misawa with elbows and arm shots, and then puts Misawa into position for the implant DDT. Misawa counters, however, with a nice Northern Lights suplex, and bridges for a two count. Misawa isn't joking around, following one suplex with another - this time a release German suplex. Edge is on the ground, holding his neck area. Misawa comes and hits a rollowing elbow smash and covers for two count. Continuing the work on the neck, Misawa hits a full nelson reverse suplex, and Edge is in desperate pain as his neck snapped in a horrible position. Misawa goes to end it, and hits the Tiger Suplex. Edge kicks out at another two count.

Misawa doesn't phase. He calls to the crowd for the Emerald Frosion, but Edge kicks him in the midsection and DDT's Misawa! Although he is wincing in pain, Edge keeps on going. He picks Misawa up and hits the downward spiral! Edge is in obvious pain, but still picks Misawa up on his shoulders! He goes for the Electric Chair drop, but can't hold on, and Misawa is able to roll him up! One! Two! Edge kicks out, barely! Misawa can feel this, and picks Edge up for the Tiger Driver. He calls to end it, and goes to the top rope! He goes for the Tiger Body Press (frog splash), but Edge rolls out of the way!

Both men are slow to get to their feet, but Misawa is up first. He hits an Irish whip on Edge, Edge bounces back ... SPEAR by Edge! One! Two! Three! Edge wins at 14:44. ***¼ Edge wins an amazing match!

"I don't believe it! I don't believe it! Edge retains the championship!"

"Look at him hold his neck! It came with a price, a very big price by the looks of it!"

"But look at the glory in his eyes! He holds the title belt proudly! An amazing main event, folks, but we have run out of time. We'll be back next week, good night everybody!"
