How To Make It
  1. Cut cardboard shape, for example, a heart.
  2. Place layer of batting, the shape of your cardboard, on cardboard shape.

Money Holder
Materials Needed:
Empty Film Container, Permanent Markers, Colorful Stickers
Instructions:
These are very simple. All you have to do is grab a few colorful permanent markers and make a design on the film container. Personalize it for yourself, or for someone else! After you're done add a few glittery or sparkly stickers and there you have it. *Great gift, especially when personalized and holding money!! A clear film container works best but you can use a black film container and just use a white pen and stickers to decorate it!!

Mardi Gras Beads
Materials Needed:
Clay, Paint, Yarn
Instructions:
Use one of these recipes (I prefer the oven flour clay) and make beads out of the dough. Make many sizes and shapes of beads. Use a toothpick or straw to make a whole in the bead for stringing. Paint them purple, green, and gold (yellow) and use yarn or string to make Mardi Gras jewelry

Glitter Tube Jewelry
You will need: water, food coloring, glitter, pieces of clear aquarium aerator tubing (about 10 cents a foot), super glue, a hot glue gun and some hot glue.
Cut a Piece of tubing with perfectly flat ends the length that you want it to be. If it is a necklace, make sure you will be able to fit it easily over your head. Put about 1/2 a teaspoon of colored glitter inside the tube and then fill it with water almost full. You can color the water using a drop of food coloring if you like. Using the hot glue gun, have an adult fill in the ends of the tube with hot glue and let it dry. Make sure that no water gets out! Hot glue or superglue the ends together and you have neat glittery jewelry!

Necklace Snack
You will need:
Donut-Shaped Cereal (cheerios), Yarn
Cut a piece of yarn to one and a half or two feet long. Tie a pencil or any other object about the same size on one end of the yarn. String the cereal onto the yarn. Remove the pencil and tie both ends of the yarn together. Hang around your neck and enjoy snacking!

Blooming Necklace
Materials Needed:
Clear Film Container, Cotton Balls, Yarn, Flower or Vegetable Seeds, Screw Eye Hook
Instructions:
This works great with the clear containers. Put two-four cotton balls into the container. Tuck in about a few seeds between the cotton balls and the outside of the container, so that you can see them. Large seeds work best. Peas, Cantaloupe, etc. Add a few drops of water, just until cotton balls are damp, but not soaked and not enough to puddle water on bottom of container. Use a screw-eye with a medium size eye on it and screw it through the center of the lid. Put the lid on the container tightly. Braid three pieces of yarn long enough to go around the child's neck and slip over the head. Thread yarn through the screw eye and tie in a circle. Kids like to wear these necklaces and watch the seeds sprout and grow inside the container. If you time this right, you can plant them into starter pots when they get too big for the container, or outside into the garden

Egyptian Falcon Amulet Craft

Egyptian Falcon Amulet Craft for Kids
What you will need: Heavy card stock (yellow or gold color works best), scissors, yarn, gold paint (DecoArt Patio Paint worked great) Tulip Pearl Dimensional Fabric Paint or something similar, glitter 3D paint.
What to do:

  1. Print out the pattern onto card stock.
  2. Paint the pattern all over with the gold patio paint or similar paint. Don’t paint it on too thick. You want to be able to see the lines.
  3. When the paint dries use the dimensional paint to give the amulet a 3D look. Outline the pattern and go over all the lines. Fill in the belly of the falcon with dots. Use other colors of 3D paint to paint the eyes and make dots to look like gems.
  4. When the falcon and smaller piece (counterpoise) are dry cut them out.
  5. Punch holes in the wings of the falcon at the top and one in the smaller piece.  Tie yarn as shown. The smaller piece hangs down your back
