Creative Review Article: MoshiMoshi Princess

One of my assignments for college- to create an article on a prolific/obscure Australian designer, for the fancy-shmancy "Creative Review" UK design magazine. I had recently read an article on manga artist and designer, Komala Singh, in the aussie "Desktop" magazine. I was constantly stumbling upon Komala's work online, and quite frankly, was extatic that she'd made it to nationwide print. I learned that she also ran a monthly manga called "Moshi Moshi", and so she had me intrigued more than ever. Clicking lazily through her site one night, I started to wonder if I could design my article on HER. If it was gonna turn out good, I'd need high-res pics-- which means obtaining them from the artist herself. I debated the predicament in my head for an hour or so and finally decided to take a chance and email her. To my complete delight and rapture, a flattered Komala emailed me back within the day, offering to burn some pics to cd to send me. lol. WOW!
Komala, you've been so wonderful and generous. My article looks fantastic, and it's all thanks to you!
I asked her what I could possibly do to pay her back, bein' a poor student an' all. ;) She asked if I'd like to design a cover for an issue of Moshi Moshi. WOULD I? :D I'll also be sending a copy of the article to Komala, so she can wave it about in front of her friends and say "Nyarr nyarr, look what I got!!" I hope she likes it. :D

Make sure you do yourself a favour and drop in on her website!
