Riding into the future
Following the path of God
There is no friend truer
Who leads and sometimes prods
The horse is provided by the Lord
He sends our way people
Who show us God's Word
He came to Redeem His people
And it is He that gives us life
He quickens us from death
And makes our hearts right
The Spirit gives us our breath
The Father shows us His will
And it is He who leads the horse
And provides for us still
He protects us with His force
He hears us when we pray
God is in the business of answering prayer
He knows everything we think and say
The Lord does really care
There is a prayer I prayed
And within me a new heart He made
For me a Ransom He paid
At the cross my sins I laid
Now each day I ride
Toward my heavenly home
To sit by His side
To bow at His throne
