How to get a Job with the State of California in a nutshell (return to main)

1. Take a Civil Service Exam for a particular job and get on the list.

2. While on the list apply for vacancies for that job.

That's it.

The caveat is that exams are not always given. Certain exams like Staff Services Analyst are typically posted only for just few hours before it gets filled up, taken down. You have to sign up when its available and trying to look for this and other exams can be extremely time consuming. My program can search multiple exams and vacancies in about two minutes. It will search through approximately 100  SPB web pages and run searches in about two minutes. Trying to search manually, assuming you know where to look, can take hours.
