CAITH is a social programm of the NGO Yanapanakusun. Its goal is to support young domestic servants of Cusco who are in trouble.
Many domestic servants start working with only seven years, very often far away from their own families. Many of them suffer social isolation because they are not integrated in the family where they work and live.
CAITH offers a shelter and a new family to domestic servants who have lost their work or had to leave it because of ill-treatment. In the house of CAITH they can find affection and security, and they learn to estimate themselves as human beeings with human rights.
To finance this activities. Yanapanakusun has opened a familiar hostel for tourists who are interested in a true cultural exchange and wish to know some other sides of the peruvian reality.
As the hostel is just beside the house where the young domestic servants live, there is always a possibility of contact.
