Ten years is rather a short time for busy
professionals who excel in their line. They do not count the years
but rather the services they have so far conceived and delivered. They
are proud of the opportunities opened up for them and forget the time.
I have heard so many among you who have
made it to the top. Many of you have built the more prestigious structures
around in the more distinguished locations. All of you must be reaping
the bounty of your scholarship and perseverance. Indeed, a decade is not
long enough as I perceive you now, still beaming, still active, still young
as the time you received your diplomas.
Thank your Alma Mater for the considerable
rewards you have been acquiring after giving to her at least five years
or so of your student life. Those years will never be erased in your consciousness
for all the successes and even the follies that you committed. They are
the very measure of who or what you have become by now. Remember that you
will always be under the wings of St. Tomas. You must reflect personal
honor, responsibility and values.
CAFA will always be there as your guidepost.
Your external productivity benchmarks the essence of your personal accomplishments.
Keep the Thomasian spirit alive in you. Make it your own personal stamp
in everything you do in thought and in deed. Remember that CAFA will always
be proud of you.
Keep in mind your country and your community.
Architects like you are the forefront of national development and you should
contribute your share to these ends. Keep going and good luck.
Congratulations on your 10th Homecoming
Anniversary, Batch '89!
