There are many, many outstanding and distinguished business teachers, supervisors, administrators, and contributors to business education in the Cleveland area. You are probably one of them. We need to show the rest of the state that CABTA/Section 2 has a lot of great educators in our area, but we need your help! In an effort to recognize your effort as a CABTA member and those with whom you work, CABTA will accept nominations for the same categories of awards that are offered by the OBTA-An Association for Business Technology Educators (OBTA). Winners of the CABTA awards will be nominated for the OBTA awards. To be nominated for OBTA awards you need to be a paid member of OBTA for the past three years. Please consider a nominee for the following categories later in the school year. You may choose to nominate a colleague or yourself. Nominations need to be in by March 31, 2008. The winners will be announced at the spring meeting. Click here for Nomination Form

The winner of The James R. Pierce Business Student Scholarship for 2005 was a student from Cuyahoga Heights High School. He was given a one time $200 student scholarship. Thank you to Ms. Carolyn Balis, Business teacher at Cuyahoga Heights HS, for nominating your student.
The committee would like to thank all of the excellent teachers who took the time to nominate their students in past years. Remember for your student to qualify for the award, you must be a member of CABTA. Paid CABTA members may nominate a senior in your class who has taken at least two years or four semesters of a business/marketing course or is in a vocational business/marketing program. The student must have achieved a grade of B or better in the classes.
Nominations for the award are currently being accepted. You can click on the links for a printable nomination form. You are required to complete both pages for the nomination. Forms will need to be returned by March 31, 2008.
