Nathan stood waiting at the airport, Maria's plane had just landed and now Nathan was waiting anxiously. After they had met in Miami they had said goodbye without promising each other anything. But now, when she was coming for a visit, he felt happy. They had kept in touch through phone calls and letters but when Maria had told him that she was coming to visit he had become happier than he expected. Ez
"Nathan!" A familiar voice called, as Nathan looked towards the voice he saw her.
"Maria!" He exclaimed and as they reached each other they hugged for a long time.
"How are you?" She asked as they started making their way towards bagageclaim.
"Just fine... now. You?"
"Fine, I'm so glad to see you." She said brushing a few strands of her dark brown hair from her eyes.
"Me too." Nathan smiled and took her bag that had just arrived. "Josiah's waiting in the car."
"Why? I mean why aren't you driving yourself?"
"Uhm, my car broke down." Nathan said.
"Again?" Maria smiled. "You really need to buy a new car, Nathan."
"I know, I know" Nathan admitted as they reached the car.
"Hi Josiah." Maria said as she climbed into the car.
"Hello Maria, how nice to see you again." Josiah smiled.
"You too, Josiah. How's Laura?" Maria asked knowing her friend had already been there a week.
"She's doing just fine." Josiah grinned. "She wanted me to ask you if you'd consider going to dinner with us tonight?"
"Yeah, sure, that'd be great." Maria smiled. "But who's us?"
"Laura, me, Emily, Ezra, Renee, JD, Buck, Trix, Ceci, Chris, Vin and Rebecca. And you of course." Josiah smiled.
"Sounds great." Ez
Later that evening Maria and Nathan took a cab to the restaurant. As they stepped out of the cab Renee and JD came round a corner, both giggling, holding hands. Soon after that Chris, Emily and Ezra came out from another cab. Ez
"Hey!" Emily smiled and hugged Maria. "So great to see you, how are you?"
"Just fine." Maria smiled. "Where's Ceci?"
"She'll be here soon." Chris said. "She's been working late this week."
"I can see you miss her." Renee smiled towards Chris.
"Yep." Chris said somewhat embarrassed. "So where's Buck & Trix?"
"Late as always." JD said. "When me and Renee left them Buck was still not dressed." Ez
10 minutes later everyone had arrived but Buck, Trix & Ceci. Everyone was rather anxious to get into the restaurant because it was quite cold. After a while they decided to go in and wait. They stepped in and left their coats and then they were ushered to their table.
After a while of staring at the menus, waiting for the remaining three to show up, Ceci came in. Chris rose and gave her a kiss on the cheek and pulled out her chair.
"Hi Maria." Ceci smiled as she sat down. "Great to see you, how are you?"
"Never been better." She smiled. "Except I'm a bit hungry."
"Who are we waiti... Silly question, Buck & Trix." Ceci sighed just as they entered the restaurant.
"Can we please order now." Laura smiled as the two sat down. "I'm starting to get real hungry."
"Me too, my dear, me too." Josiah smiled towards her. Ez
An hour later they had all gotten their meals and were now eating while chatting quietly. Ceci noticed that Chris seemed a bit distracted and she leaned in and whispered in his ear: Ez
"What�s the matter?"
"Nothing." Chris said.
"I can see there's something wrong, Chris. What is it?" Ceci asked.
"Nothing." Chris repeated.
"Fine." Ceci said and excused herself and went to the bathroom.
"Excuse me." Emily said and also went to the bathroom. Ez
As she came in she found Ceci staring at her reflection in the mirror. Emily stepped up and placed a hand on her shoulder. Ceci looked over at Emily with a sad look in her eyes. Ez
"What�s wrong?" Emily asked.
"I don't know." Ceci sighed. "Chris is acting really weird."
"He is? I haven't noticed that."
"Probably because you're so distracted by Ezra." Ceci smiled.
"Maybe." Emily said and continued. "What do you think�s the matter?"
"I wish I knew." Ceci said. "I�m just afraid that he�s gonna break up with me."
"Oh no, no, no, no. He�s not gonna break up with you." Emily said.
"How do you know that?"
"He hates being away from you." Emily said. "You've been working late this week and he just said that he missed you. You have nothing to worry about."
"You sure?" Ceci asked and Emily nodded. "Well, then what could it be?"
"Perhaps something to do with work." Emily said.
"Maybe." Ceci said as the two went back to the table.
"Everything alright, dear?" Ezra asked quietly as Emily sat down beside him.
"Yeah, I think so." Emily said and kissed Ezra softly on the cheek. Ez
The next day Chris was the first person to arrive in the office. He immediately went into his own office to read a file he had in his bottom drawer. He sighed heavily as he looked at the pictures of the convicted felons. Ez
"You seem awfully worried, pard?!" Vin�s voice was heard.
"Yup." Chris said as he looked up at Vin leaning on the doorframe.
"What�s wrong?" Vin asked and stepped into his office and sat down.
"This." Chris tossed the file folder to Vin who opened it.
"What about them?" Vin asked.
"They've escaped."
"What?!" Vin was shocked.
"Yup, they were probably helped."
"How is that possible?" Vin said.
"I think they have people on the outside and inside." Chris said. "They escaped yesterday."
"You mean they're free, now!?" Vin said.
"Yeah, everybody's searching for them." Chris said.
"This is bad. You know they�re gonna come after us." Vin sounded worried.
"I know." Chris said.
"Rebecca!" Vin exclaimed.
"Along with the rest of the girls." Chris said. "We have to talk to them."
"I�ll call Rebecca, she�ll get the rest. In two hours or what?"
"Yeah, two hours, in the conference room." Chris said yet again looking at the photos. Ez
Two hours later Ceci, Emily, Laura, Maria, Rebecca, Renee and Trix came out of the elevator, Josiah showed them to the conference room and they all sat down. Soon the entire Team 7 came in, all looking serious, Chris carrying the file and JD carrying a stack of papers. Ez
"What�s wrong?" Laura asked.
"We have some serious news." Chris said. "It could affect you."
"What?" Renee asked.
"Four murderers have escaped." Vin started. "We caught them, sent them to jail and they swore to get their revenge."
"How could they escape?" Maria exclaimed.
"They have probably bribed several people to help them." Buck said.
"And how is this affecting us?" Rebecca asked.
"They could use you to get to us." Nathan said.
"What?!" The girls all exclaimed.
"Now..." Chris said. "You have to get police protection."
"Or we could move you all to a safe house." Vin said.
"This is not happening." Emily said burying her head in her hands.
"Emily." Ezra walked up to her and wrapped his arms around her.
"What do you mean by police protection?" Trix asked and took Buck's hand in hers.
"Sort of like a bodyguard." Buck said.
"But aren't people looking for them?" Ceci said.
"Yes, but just in case..." Chris said placing a hand on her shoulder.
"But can't you protect us?" Renee asked.
"We have to search for them as well." Vin said. "We know them better than anyone."
"Okay, ladies, how do you wish to solve this serious matter?" Ezra said.
"I don�t know." Laura sighed.
"What about work?" Emily suddenly asked. "How are we gonna work?"
"I don�t think you should work now." Vin said. "But as soon as they�re caught you can go back to work."
"So when do we leave?" Maria asked after a while of silence.
"As soon as possible." Buck said.
"Can we at least get some of our things first?" Ceci asked.
"Give us lists of what you need and we'll send police officers to pick it up." Chris said. "Let's go!" Ez
Half an hour later the fourteen people entered the safe house. It was a large one-floor house, built with white bricks. Emily was feeling a bit shaken up so she sat down in the first available chair in the living room. Soon Ceci, Maria, Renee and Rebecca came and joined her, all sighing heavily as they sat down. Laura was pacing the room furiously; annoyed that she couldn't do anything. Ez
"You gonna be okay?" Buck whispered in her ear.
"Yeah, I think so." She sighed. Ez
Rebecca rose as Vin came into the room, she approached him slowly. Vin reached out, took her hand and pulled her close. Ez
"Laura?" Josiah said as he approached her.
"Yes?" She stopped pacing as the big man came up to her.
"You okay, my dear?"
"I guess. I could use a hug." She smiled.
"Of course." Josiah smiled and hugged her tightly, while stroking her hair.
"Nathan?" Maria asked as he sat down beside her.
"What is it?" He looked at her.
"We're gonna be okay, aren't we?" Maria said.
"Yes. We're gonna be okay." Nathan said stroking her cheek softly. Ez
5 minutes later the seven men left the house to go look for the felons. Trix still stood by the window watching as the seven drove away. After a while Rebecca came and joined her, silently staring out. They saw two police officers standing guard outside the front of the house. They knew that there were also two more police officers standing at the back of the house, and two female police officers inside the house. Ez
"Can you believe this is happening?" Maria said.
"No, not really, this is unbelievable." Ceci sighed.
"How long will we be here?" Emily asked.
"Hopefully not long." Renee said. "I�m sure they will find the bad guys soon."
"Bad guys..." Laura smiled. "I feel like I�m in the middle of some action movie."
"You guys hungry?" Trix asked and all nodded. "Well then let's go to the kitchen and find something." Ez
Later that day the girls had all received their things and now they had all settled in the bedroom. Ez
"This is going to be crowded." Emily smiled as she sat down on her bed.
"Yeah, I suppose this safe house was made for two people or something, not seven." Maria said looking at the seven beds all piled into the small bedroom.
"I hope none of you snore!" Renee joked, which caused the rest of the girls to start laughing.
"So what should we do now? Sleep or what?" Laura said.
"I�m not really tired." Ceci said.
"Me neither." Emily said and the others nodded.
"Perhaps we can watch TV or play cards or whatever." Rebecca said.
"TV sounds good." Trix said and they headed to the TV room. Ez
A few hours later Renee, Rebecca, Maria and Emily had all gone to sleep. Ceci and Trix had fallen asleep infront of the TV. Laura sat in a comfortable chair, flipping channels, not tired. Ez
"I told you it�d be easy." One of the four men whispered.
"Let�s get the rest as well. This will teach those agents not to mess with us." Another man grinned. "Seven lovely girls to kill." Ez
Hostile Hostages

As soon as the seven men had checked that the house really was safe they came into the living room. Buck walked up to Trix who stood by a window looking out, he hugged her from behind and kissed her neck.
Ezra sat down in front of Emily, took her hands in his and kissed her fingertips lightly.
Suddenly somebody put a damp cloth over her mouth and nose. Laura tried not to inhale but soon she had to and slowly she became unconscious.
