Augusta is our state capital. It is about 2.5 hours north of where we live.
Here s a great link to learn about Augusta:

We live in very southern Maine, just a quick walk to New Hampshire.
Really, about two blocks down the road!
The natural beauty and wealth of outdoor treasures of Maine's
Rangeley Lakes Region long have lured visitors. (about 2.5 hours northwest of us)
Abnaki Indians set up hunting and fishing camps alongside the area's 111 lakes and ponds. They were followed by well-to-do "flatlanders" (anyone from south of New Hampshire) who, around the time of the Civil War, were drawn to the Region by the same outdoor activities that had attracted the Abnakis. (there is a tribe of Abnaki Indians that hold a pow wow annually not far from here)
We had a cool ?glamour shot? weekend for older girls. I?m Sarah-Marie Quaker. I?m 15 years old and a juliette (senior scout) in Southern Maine. I?ve been in Girl Scouts for eleven years. I love Girl Scout horse camp. I?ve gone every year for 5 years. We are having a Girl Scout Fashion Show for our town group on Saturday. Berwick is the 9th oldest town in Maine. We are on the border of New Hampshire, within a 5 minute walk. About an hour and a half north of Boston, MA. My school district is four towns together with 1200 students in 9-12. The town has about 3500 people in it.
