| Oh, My God! I pray to you now in a time of need. You've known me since my inception. You know my thoughts and deeds. You know my heart and soul. Oh, My God! Help me to untangle my thoughts Help me to do good deeds in this time of trouble Keep my heart pure, as it is hurting and my soul whole, as it feels torn. Forgive me my anger and help me channel it in a useful way. Oh, My God! Keep close to your heart the men and woman of our armed forces. Remember Lord, the people dear to my heart, Billy, Katie, Chris, Paul and Ken. Keep them safe and knowledgeable of your word. Oh, My God! Help us all to remember, our free land and nation Help us all to rember our land was founded by diversity Help us to remember that because there are evil people In far off lands, that those of similar descent are not evil. Keep my friend Haya safe and secure. Oh, My God! Help those in their time of loss and grief to know you are with them Help those who are seeking the lost and injured to know your peace. Help the men, woman and children who are suffering so much pain to feel relief. Help those who feel helpless and hopeless to feel your presecnce. Oh, My God! I pray we remember, in our grief, the grief of other nations who have lost in this terrible tragedy. For the place was a whole world trade center, and others have lost too. Oh,My God! Please, I beseech you to embrace the souls of those who have died. They were innocent of wrong doing. Those on the planes, the emergency response teams, firefighters and policemen who gave all they had without a thought, to save others. Oh, My God! In your wisdom and grace, give those people in power the right answers. Give them the ability to do what is right for all the people of this earth, For their decisions will forever change our lives. |
| I must tell you friends, that I have heard the phrase "Oh my God" so many times in the past few days without the meaning it was intended for. It has sparked thought in my mind of the phrase's true meaning. Please read this prayer and remember Septemer 11, 2001 May we all find the Peace of God's Grace in the days to come. |
