The engine only had 34,000 origional miles on it but time had taken it's tool and the motor was locked up.

April 25, 1998

The engine was removed in order to rebuild it

May 22, 1998

With the help of my Uncle Bert, and my cousin Tim, we unbolted the body and lifted it off to expose the frame.

You can see that sometimes we would work day and night.

June 28, 1998

We grinded down the entire frame to the bare metal and primed it with rust proof paint.

Visitors from the neighborhood were always stopping by to see the progress.
