George Matkins married Susan Murdock [1]. George and Susan Matkins were
living in Dearborn County, Indiana, in 1852 when their son, Samuel L Matkins
was born [2]. One thought is that this might be the same George Matkins who
was living in Mill Creek Twp, Hamilton County, Ohio in 1830 [3].

Samuel L Matkins was born 12 May 1852 in Dearborn County, Indiana, a son of
George and Susan (Murdock) Matkins [1,2]. Samuel L Matkins married Lillie
McNealey, a daughter of Virginia McNealey, on21 March 1877 [2]. Children of
Samuel and Lillie include: Victor, George, Mary, and John [2]. Samuel died
on 8 May 1911 in Sullivan County, Missouri [2].
