The Flash Interview Aired on April 29, 1999, in Montréal, 6 :30 PM. A : Female reporter D : Dean Cain L : Lexa Doing For another time, our city (Montréal), for the needs of a movie, takes the appearance of New York. Starring in « The Unconcerned», a thrilller destined for the american TV channel HBO, Dean Cain, a marqued actor by the Superman cape that he wore during four seasons in the series Lois & Clark. D : People tend to associate you with the roles... you play. Hey hey... A : Yes... D : And strangelly now, some people think that I am SUperman.... and that's a little... (roulement des yeux et hésitation)....... it's just the TV ! A : Really, like, do you get letters or people talking to you as if you were the character ? D : Yes, absolutely, which is ... It's kind of pathetic in a way (hesitation...) it's... it's frightening people don't understand that.... I mean when they're kids it's okay, but there's adults that do that too. It's a little scary ! In The Unconcerned, Cain as for partner Lexa Doing, a young canadian actress not very known. L : Pretty much if I get the part, I'll do it ! (laughs) I'll be honest, hmmm... but this movie in particular it's was a very interesting film. The character is a lot different then any ohter character tahtg I played before and very difficult. It was a stretch for mebecause I don't agree with a lot of choices that she makes. In the heart of a intrigue policière,The Unconcerned makes all the place for a real Hollywood love story. A : How about this morning, what are you shooting exactly ? L : Hmmm... This is pretty much right when Bob, who is Dean's character, and Camille, my character, meet. The just... they just meet. I'd say maybe two hours previous to this. And he's asking her for her phone nomber and she gives it to him. D : He falls in love with the girl, but... and she falls in love with him but... hmmm... there are sort of different sides of the tracks. And she's actually there to do something.... hmmm... she's doing... she's doing... she falls in love with him... but she's doing business. L : And that hences the trouble... that's where the trouble begins. D : My brother ends up getting killed and... hmmm... she has something to do with it. She didn't mean for it to happen. And that's where everything turns wrong ! L : She is definetely... hmmm... a deceptive person. But, I mean, she has her reasons, for being so and I don't see her as being holy/evil or completely bad, but she's an interesting character to play. D : It's a very good script, it's a good... very good story. It's a romantic thriller and I like that, that's fun.
